well the last few days blew by and we haven´t had a chance to internet lately so here´s the scoop... we left from caracas... the foursome now... and headed to puerto la cruz for a night in a cheep hotel complete with bloody sheets... the next morning we headed over to isla de margarita for three nights of todo incluido... it was an anmazing hotel on playa humo by itself and had great pools nightly shows(more about these later) and piña coladas... the last two might be related... well we had a relaxing time enjoying ourselves... and the nightly shows we all participated stu and rachel danced the first night and i played some copying game which was ok... but the best of all was Kyle or should i say... Señor portofino... it was awesome... so ... read more

well frist off happy frickin´ Canada day everyone 140 years and still looking good... so this is the last few day in a nut shell... we are in a town of taganga right now on the colombian coast and can´t find another canadian as the isrealis have taken this town over... seriously most of the signs are in hebrew which is a bit strange but pointing still works so we are all good... so from bogota we flew down (or up?) to the coast and spent a few nights in cartagena which was nice to see the walled old city the largest fort in south america (not positive if that´s true) and maybe a bit of time hiding from the heat in th AC... from cartagena we bussed to santa marta which is a town about ... read more

well not much to write about galapagos continued to be awesome more snorkelling etc... and after 8 days on a boat it was time for us to get off and stagger towards the plane on our sealegs... we flew into quito and quickly went to the bus station and were off to tulcan which is in northern ecuador near the colombian boarder... we spent a night there in a super cheep but fairly sketchy hostel and the next day cabbed to the boarder... on the ecuador side we waited for about 2 hours to get our exit stamps as the computers were down and they didn´t feel like processing by hand so when we eventually got them done we walked over the bridge to colombia which was a breeze... form the boarder town of ipiales we ... read more

well after spending our first day in the galapagos being productive and acclimatizing to the beach... we headed back to baltra island (where the airport is) to meet the rest of our group... after a while in the airport we eventually were off to our ship... standing on the side of the shore we looked out to all of the yachts and found the loudest and shiftyist one and headed there... but seriously our boat the M/Y FriendSHIP (yeah honest...) isn´t too bad but isn´t exactly the pride of the fleet... but the price was nice... so as for rooms kyle and stu are together and i´m sharing with a guy from israel who is nice enough but will not be a pen pal when i get home... the first day we went to bachas beach ... read more

Well Quito... we got in and stayed at a place because it was run by a Canadian... which was a bit of a mistake the loudest place I have ever been... so needless to say we found another option the next day... after moving our stuff we went on a wild chase around town to the Canadian embassy to see if we'll need a visa for Venezuela but they can't comment on another country's policies and sent us on our way to the Venezuelan embassy... finding it (way out of town) we signed that we wanted visas to the guard and he just wrote an address down for us... so we went to the other embassy or consulate not too sure and turns out that we don't need a visa... we think so nice one down ... read more

well interesting and hecktic last few traveling days here is the synopsis because lots happened... so baños... we eventually found horses which could go in the rain so we headed out to them in a jeep... we were about 5minutes out of town when smoke filled the cab of the jeep as there was a fire inside under the front seat!... yeah i was in shotgun and hoped out before we had even stopped so much for women and children first... sorry kyle... anyways we parked on the side of the road and waited around well our driver ´fixed´the jeep... it involved hitting the battery with a rock... so needless to say the car never started again... so we stuck out our thumbs as we were determined to get to these horses... hopping into the back ... read more

well riobamba was a bit of a bust we were planning on going on the train ride called the nose of the devil but when we got to the station the train wasn´t there and we had no idea what was going on... later on we discovered that they are not allowing people to ride on the roof as two japanese tourists got decapitated a few months back.... yeah ew... and the buzz was that they are refiting the train to be a bit safer... yeah the first ´safety´ measure we have even heard about in SA... so we got out of riobamba quick... as there is little to do even when the train is running so we are in baños now... this town is pretty cool very laid back and lots to do... first day ... read more

well we are in... (turns to kyle an stu...)... oh yeah cuenca... it is tht ethird largest city in ecuador and my favourite s far.. though guayquil dosen´t give it much competition... so anyways guayquil was fine not a whole lot to do but we managed t find a giatn cemetary with hundreds opf thousands of graves in it... it was pretty cool they were all stacked up like tiny appartments for the dead... but anyhow... we bussed to here uneventful beside the giant sculpture of a stack of chairs in the middle of nowhere... oh yeha and i was next to the random and fell asleep and woke as my head touched the old man next to me´s shoulder yeah he glared at me the rest of the way... so we made it here yesterday ... read more
