I woke up rather early, eager to experience Thailand. It was nice to find that the place I was staying offered free breakfast and coffee in the morning (even if the selection was rather slim). For 250 baht/night, I wasn't complaining. (By the way, $1 US = 30 baht or so... so cheap!). So I had some coffee, toast, and muffins and set off on an adventure into the great big, polluted city of Bangkok. My plan was to see as many wats as possible, including the Grand Palace (A "wat" is a Buddhist shrine, and there are thousands throughout Thailand).
