Geo: -32.9264, 151.781YAY...finally i left Canberra and made it to our next destination.....Newcastle. Well not Newcastle in general, but outer suburbs and small townships around Lake Macquarie. But i did encounter once again more problems with the car before we drove up, this time the distributor wasn't working properly and therefore had to be replaced. I was told $1700 for a new one or $250 for an aftermarket one. It became clear what choice i made. Finally after 2 days in the shop and $800 later it was ready to go.We took Sean's car up for the Thursday and Friday as Sean was going back down to Canberra for the weekend, we managed to Audit 15 schools in 2 days which was 1/3 of the area, this was because all of the schools are so close to each ... read more

Geo: -35.3284, 149.084Well after the buzz that was New Zealand, i had to return to reality and get back into work.I'm based in Canberra at the moment, and have been here for 9 weeks staying with Sean's parents, all of our work is based around the area so we took advantage of the free accommodation and food.Sean's family, being Canadian are all into Ice Hockey, so i did manage to go to an ice hockey game in the national league, it was great, something different. The first 2 weeks were a bit of a write off seeing as it just started school holidays, so getting into schools was not an easy task.So i decided to fly to Brisbane.A friend of mine, Rebecca, had flown into Brisbane from Malaysia and had hired a wicked camper to drive it ... read more

Geo: -45.0302, 168.663Kia Ora from Queenstown.I have been here for 3 days so far and i head back to Christchruch tomorrow. But first i will fill you in with my adventures while being here.In the last blog i was on my way to Wanaka from Franz Joseph, when we arrived at Wanaka, Rangi our bus driver told us to watch out for the Dolphins at 5pm, so (Stipidly i might add) about 10 of us walked down to the lake front in hope of seeing people feeding the Dolphins. It took us a little while to connect but it was all a joke, and we were dumb enough to believe. How could there be Dolphins in a freash water Lake? and a small lake at that. So we did cop a few comments from Rangi, but all in ... read more

Geo: -43.3891, 170.182Wow, Where to begin.Well firstly at the moment i am in Queenstown and its about 1 degree. I have only been here 8 days and i already have too much to tell, so i thought i would break this blog down into parts, where this blog part one is about my week back in Melbourne and my travels so far in New Zealand. It's been so long since my last update, but thats because i hadn't done much since up until Melbourne. Works been going well, we got the Bathurst area completed in 2 weeks and then spent a week in Sydney but my car had problems with the oil pump, so that had to be in the mechanics for 3 days and cost me $1000, so i only ended up working one day of ... read more

Geo: -33.8671, 151.207Well i find myself in Sydney, Yet again.Ive been here for three weeks and will be here for another 3 weeks, mainly because the Sydney area for work is a bit behind so they have called in all workers to work here doing some of the Sydney schools. This probably wont be the longest blog, i haven't got up to much in the last 3 weeks, except for this weekend gone by where Nick Ollie came up from the weekend. As soon as i got back from the Fraser Island tour i was straight back into the swing of things, nothing really happened over the next 2 weeks. We were staying in the house in western Sydney where 10 people were packed into a 3 bedroom house, basically the four of us slept in the lounge room ... read more

Geo: -25.2168, 153.133Happy belated Easter wishes..For me it was a very memorable Easter. I spent it in Fraser Island QLD.Sometimes i think is it just Luck? or Fate, because if someone said to me even 3 weeks ago what i was going to be doing for Easter, i would have said "probably nothing", but had i not met Carol, i wouldn't have gone to Fraser Island, If i had not been given the opportunity to do this job in NSW, i would not have gone to Fraser Island. What i guess I'm trying to say is i am lucky to have spent an awesome time in Fraser Island over Easter. But before i get to that i feel obliged to tell you how i came to be in Fraser Island.A couple of weeks ago i was in Lismore ... read more

Geo: -28.8127, 153.279Mindless Dribble is really what this blog is about.warning: there are no pictures.Basically i haven't done much since the last blog that is worthy of any photos, and the fact that i haven't taken any since my last blog update. But i thought i would just fill you in on what i have been up too and what i will be doing.I was in Sydney for my last blog, since then all i have really been doing is working up here in Lismore, 9 days straight work!!We were hoping to get 50 schools, between the 4 of us, filmed before the Easter holidays. We thought we were going to get it done but the film is taking longer to get up here so we cant get the schools finished before the holidays unfortunately.never the less work ... read more

Geo: -33.6535, 150.287I miss the Blue Mountains!!The people, The sights, The sounds, The experiences.I must say i was sad to leave, but knowing that i will be back soon has me looking forward to returning.I last reported on my amazing first 24hrs in the Blueys, so now i can report on the week that was. Well as you know i arrived on the Friday and Mountain biked on the Saturday. In short i stayed at the Katoomba YHA for 6 nights when originally i booked 3 nights, this was due to my work being around Lithgow area, and seeing it was only a 40 min drive away, i thought I'd extend the stay. After the mountain biking i found myself in a state of immobility, at the time, needless to say i pulled up fine the next ... read more

Geo: -33.7517, 150.326The title of this entry says it all, that's the impression that i get by being here in the Blue Mountains for one day. But I'll get to that a bit later on.First i need to fill you in with what I've been up too before today..Well as usual I'm still loving it up here, I had been based in an Irish pub for the last 10 nights whilst completing all the schools around the region, i nicely plodded along working for most of the week, i don't think you need to hear about that. Then there was the weekend, last weekend, not too hectic but fun and interesting at the same time.On Saturday morning i took the trip up to Mount Panorama, home of the Bathurst 1000, Well durr, its quite a great course ... read more

Geo: -33.4773, 149.612Wow, cant believe Ive been gone for 5 weeks now, its gone so fast.I am pleased to say that things have improved, if that were possible, but they have.the last entry i was in Terrigal, this entry i find my self in an Irish pub in Bathurst!Ive moved around a bit in the last few weeks, when i had finished applying the film with the others, i was given the job of auditing 9 Pre-schools in Newcastle and Gosford. There were only 2 to do in Gosford in which i was done by midday and had the rest of the day to chill out. But i found myself going for a surf with an English lad called Phill, after an hour or so we both concluded that in our amateur surfing state the waves were ... read more
