Temp: Hottttt...about 42degs Got up after just an hour and a half sleep...not pretty at all!!! Had brekkie and caughtb the bus at 7:45.. At least we didnt sleep in like Nathan and Tim who Marnee had to go and knock on their door when the bus was already loaded up..suc to be them getting ready and packed in 5minutes!! So we stopped in a little town in Arizona for Walmmart, got some groceries and lunch then hopped back on the bus to stop in a town called Seligman, Arizona. This was the birthplace of Route 66. Temp: 39°C We started the day early with our free breakfast and caught our bus to Las Vegas, Nevada. What better way to get a group to mingle then to make our first stop las Vegas! When we got there the group split up into smaller group. Our group consistered of about 5 girls. The place we staayed at was just near Hooters and MGM Grand. Temp: 36°C Today was our first sleep in for a while. Some of the people had decided to head to Disneyland again, Myself, Marnee and Lauren (another girl from Contiki) decided we would catch the bus down to Anaheim Plaza for a look around and a quiet day before the next 26days of go, go, go. We jumped on the bus, not bad pricing and jumped off at another. Grabbed some maccas for lunch (we have fallen in love with their 'dollar menu' which consisted of different stores having different items, all for under $1. Temp: 35°C Today was Disneyland day! We started early to avoid the queues. Started with the Toy Story ride. this was good, it was like archade style, u had to shoot at balloons and targets etc to try and beat the person sitting next to you. Next we moved on to Toon Town. I loved it. They had Mickeys house and Minnies House (I'm still unsure as to why they dont share a house.!) They also had a tooned up cars everywhere, like the one from Roger Rabbit. Temp: 36°C Day 20 started at early as we wanted to be at California Adventure Park before the crowd. We met Mickey Mouse, and Goofy, then ventured over to take on the The Hollywood Tower Hotel aka the Tower of Terror. Amazing ride! Its basically like your in a lift/elevator and they drop you to different levels. Good Times!. We also went in and saw how they made Toy Story and a Muppet Vision 3d. Temp: 35°C Day 19 started earlyish, had to meet at the chinese theatre at 9:00am for our Grand Tour of LA and the Hollywood homes tour. While on the way, about 2 doors down from our hostel at the disney cinema they were setting up for the premier of the movie G-Force that afternoon. It was cool to see them setting up the red carpet and all the big banners etc. So we headed off on our tour. Up at 7:30 to meet Carl to see some stuff on Hollywood blvd, had brekkie at maccas (they have egg muffins with ham, not bacon but they are also on like a scone, not an english muffin, its so strange! oh and with their hotcakes they dont havve maple syrup and whipped butter they sell a sausage pattie with them!! weird!!!) Temp: 35°C Day 16 was earlyish, got up at 7:30, had the shower, made the pancake aand made our way down to the station. We were originally gonna catch the 10:50am train to LA but made it in time for the 9:30 so got that instead. We made friends with a brother/sister from our hostel tat caught the same train. They were from Brazil, Antonio and Emily, lovely people. They are staying just down the road from us at another hosteel. Enough of that, onto LA.
