I have traveled far and away..all over this globe yet never to Central America. Honestly, I don't think I would ever have made this trip but a good friend recently moved to Panama and I was intrigued as to why o why would he leave California for central america. I have to admit that I had a different image of what I would find than the quaint yet rustic island of Bocas Del Toro. The locals and imports ( there were canadians..americans...and many other countries represented) seemed to have a new outlook on life. I have never visited a place where it seems that time has almost stopped. Everyone and everything so relaxed and at a different pace than I am used to in Los Angeles. I have visited Puerto Vallarta twice in the past ten years....If you just want to relax on the beach or take a tour of the city ..this is a nice place. In town there are several old churches and my last visit was over christmas. The town had put up decorations more lovely than I had seen here in the states. I stayed the first time at Paradise village resort which is actually in Neuvo Vallarta...they have a huge hotel and their own zoo ! I would recommend staying here anytime. They also have three restaurants on the premises if you dont want to venture in to town. ... read more

I have been to Montreal, Canada a few times....LOVE it here. This is a huge city and has some of the best shopping and restaurants around. I lived on the east coast for a while and used to drive up from Boston to just hang out for the weekend. If you visit ...I suggest going to OLD Montreal.....It is so beautiful and romantic. ... read more

Ahhhh...St. Maarten/St. Martin. I visited this beautiful island with two girlfriends a few years back. January 2003. Since I have just dicovered this site, I must now go back through my photo logs and recall my favorite trips. This being one of them. We stayed on the French side and as told...the water adn beach there was the amazing I had ever...and still til this day have seen. The beaches were never too crowded and the water was so warm and this transparent green/blue. The beaches are all topless until you get down to the last 1/2 mile and then It becomes a nude beach. Here are a few pics from my trip to Aruba..... Went here January 2002....This is a very smalll island and lots of casinos. I spent most of the week just sitting on the very quiet beach. I was there the fist week in January and it seemed a little slow ...which was great. If you go into town you have to eat at El Gauchos...THE BEST STEAK EVER !!! ... read more
