I came to Alberta for one reason, to work and make a lot of money. My friend Sebs parents own a cleaning company and I have experience in this so they were asking that I come. We were going to come in November but we both got bored of Moncton and decided one night to leave earlier. I have never been to Alberta and I love to visit new places. We had a flight connection to Toronto and had a few hours to kill so we decided to go down town. I always wanted to visit Toronto but never got the opportunity so I just had to. I completed the Katimavik program on August 18th and returned home that day. I spent the rest of summer visiting family and friends whom I haven’t seen for 6 months and missed very much. I wanted to get involved in the travel industry so I wanted to find work in a hotel. I worked at a Future Inns Moncton as a housekeeper. The work was not bad, but I really started to get bored of it, and Moncton. So almost every night when I got home I looked for work anywhere but here. I looked everywhere from in Canada to overseas. Where it all began

My love for traveling all began when I joined this program called Katimavik. The program involves traveling to three different provinces within six months. Everything was paid for, trips, meals, accomodations. Also if we completed the program we recieved $500 at the end. The catch was living with 7-11 other young people, and we had to do fulltime volunteer work. I left for Ontario on March 3rd, so just over a year ago. Im not going to get into too much detail on this now. But i will say it was the best thing I have ever done with my life and I have met some amazing people.
