Reminiscing

 Asia
It is a beautiful sunny morning in Vail, Colorado! We have been home for one month decompressing, organizing, hanging out with Tyson, catching up with friends and family, and we are finally ready to go back to Vietnam. Well, not literally. But we are now ready to reminisce about our time spent there. It is difficult to describe the feeling we had in Vietnam because it was on all ends of the spectrum- a little manic depressive! After three weeks in SE Asia enduring the heat, the smells, and each other :) , we arrived in Saigon; more commonly known as [View Full Entry]

Bangkok

 Asia
After we had our fair share of sun on Koh Tao we departed for Bangkok on the ferry. We arrived in the evening to our Guesthouse, near infamous Khao San Rd., and realized now we really are not in Kansas anymore. Our sterile room was nothing more than four white walls, a bed, a light, a bathroom, and thankfully an air conditioner. I'm glad we upgraded to $25 a night in order to have a refuge from the heat. We dropped our bags and wandered the streets of Khao San road, which immediately puts each of your senses on overload. Picture [View Full Entry]

Ko Tao, Thailand

 Asia
We have been getting some recent comments about not blogging enough and we sincerely apologize....NOT! Can you blame us?! We are on an island in the middle of the ocean with white sand beaches and crystal clear water galore! We have been too busy sipping mojitos and working on our tans. However, we do miss all of you and have been wanting to update everyone on our fabulous trip. So here it goes... After our 12 hour flight from Auckland to Bangkok we arrived safe and sound with a little jet lag around 9pm. We flew through customs flawlessly and checked [View Full Entry]

We know this entry is out of order but since arriving in Thailand we have not been too keen on blogging but we thought we should have it. After leaving Wanaka we headed to the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown. People flock here to bungy jump, skydive, swing across canyons, ride jet boats thought narrow gullies of whitewater, and see how high they can raise their heart beats. We had a pizza and a beer and got back on the road. I guess we aren't the adventure junkies we once were. We continued our journey further south to Milford Sound. [View Full Entry]

Greetings from Wanaka. We know it has been a few days since we last wrote and we have put a lot of miles of beautiful scenery behind us hence the reason for not being glued to the computers. When we left Nelson, we headed out towards the Abel Tasman National Park. We were in desperate need of a shower and some clean clothes so we pulled into our first Holiday (RV) Park. Luckily for us or maybe not so lucky, February-March is clothing optional at this particular campground and we got to see some of the more unsightly parts of New [View Full Entry]

Hey Guys. Greg here with the first blog from an idividual. We realized that it was too weird to always write in the 3rd person and Lizzie wants to talk about her feelings so we decided that I would write the blog today. We are in Nelson, NZ, which is in the northern part of the south island and having a great time. We arrived in Christchurch on Wednesday morning and picked up our RV. Driving the first day was really scary but I am feeling much better about driving on the left and using the shifter. The first night we [View Full Entry]

Aloha! We had a great time with Katie and Kevin in Kauai hiking, surfing, eating, drinking, and hanging out. We arrived our first night welcomed with a beautiful sunset and a keg party down the street. It was quite interesting to say the least. The next morning a stop at the local Costco was in order. We picked up a foam longboard to make our surf board collection complete and to ensure that the beginners in the group, aka Lizzie, didn't get a concussion. We had a fun weekend exploring the island and searching for the local surf spots; Kevin was [View Full Entry]

Hey Guys, We got to San Francisco yesterday and and have been exploring the city ever since. It is truly a city of neighborhoods. We loved some of them and hated others. The weather has been beautiful and we are both glad to wear flip flops again. Last night we had a good dinner at the bar at a restaurant called A 16 (named after the highway in Italy) where the bartender helped us find some really good wines. Today we are touring the Academy of Art University and picking up our plane tickets for the rest of our trip. Hope [View Full Entry]

Welcome to our blog. It is a first so it will most likely be pretty rough. Lizzie and I live in Vail, CO with our roommate James and our dog Tyson. Lizzie's claim to fame is that she is a world champion logroller and boomrunner. Greg has yet to claim fame. We are still planning our trip but right now our itinerary looks like this: Hawaii, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam (possibly Laos, Cambodia, Thailand), New Zealand, and Tahiti. We would love suggestions on those places as we are planning on leaving in February and have not done enough research. [View Full Entry]
