please accept my apologies in advance, this blog entry is entirely from memory as i got very lazy with the journal writing in the last week of my travels!!!! i realise that i have now been home in oh so wonderful blighty for *ahem* months so i thought that it was high time that i wrote my final entry :) so here it goes. sunday: after finally arriving in back in melbourne, waiting for my case to come off the plane (it was literally the very last one, score!), and then having to run to catch the bus taxi thing because someone told me the exit was on the second floor when in fact it wasn't i finally made it to my hostel in st kilda. st kilda is an absolutely brilliant little suburb of melbourne, ... read more

hey hey from sydney!!! well, i finally made it to sydney, my second to last stop before i head back to sunny ol' blighty! hehe! i have 10 days here then it's on to melbourne for about a week before i fly home! bet you're all uber excited at the prospect of seeing me so soon :) hehe. can't believe that i'm actually talking about coming home, tis all so soon! righty, anyhoo, got about 2 more weeks, many more way super fun things shall be done in that time!!!! got up bright and early and was accosted by a scottish lady in the bathroom who said that i looked far too glamourous for 8.00am. ummm, ok.... had my brekkie and said goodbye to sharna (really really this time! like i said, she actually got a ... read more

oooh, another day, another new place! was totally ready to leave noosa, in need of city life by this point! after 6 weeks of beaches it actually all gets a little tedious to be honest! (no, i'm not taking the mick...!!) said my goodbyes to sharna, very emotional :( when me, jenny and sarah got to the transit centre there had been an accident (eep, third one!!) which wasn't good, a man had fallen and there was blood everywhere :s still, the ambulance came and i think he was ok in the end. enough of the morbid stuff! we were waiting for the greyhound bus for an hour before someone thought to ring up and ask what was going on. not even funny - it was running 3 hours late!!! and of course they didn't think ... read more

left agnes water bright and early after saying goodbye to gus :) next stop, hervey bay, about 5 hours south of agnes. the bus journey was nothing after that monster of a journey down from airlie!!!!! :D me and sharn checked in and had just enough time to walk into town, deduce that hervey bay was rubbish (small, sleepy, nothing to write home about really which for some reason was a bit of a shock because i was expecting something similar to airlie?! not sure why, but anyhoo!!) and get back to the hostel for our fraser island briefing!!!! so yeah, fraser island briefing - fraser island is the world's largest sand island and its just off the coast of queensland near hervey bay. we were booked onto a 3 day camping trip, all tres exciting! ... read more

gr, just wrote this whole entry and then managed to delete it!!!!!! lets try again shall we... **WARNING** those prone to insane jealousy are advised that they read this entry at their own risk :) Left magnetic island super early (it actually was, as in i was up at 5am!!eep!!) to get the 7am bus to airlie beach. bus journey long and boring, etc etc. was expecting airlie beach to be horrific and ugly for some reason not even known to me (i think it had something to do with the disappointment of townsville...), but was pleasantly surprised! its basically made up of just one street and not a very long one at that. along that street you have many many bars and cafes and restaurants and shops. and there is a lagoon as the beach ... read more
