Nic and I head to Ireland to send some time in time in the country with Stephen and Charlotte. Arrive Dublin airport and make our way to Athboy (Westmead) to stay in an awesome estate 6 bedrooms massive place very cool. Spend 3 days touring around central Ireland and sampling ales in all sorts of local little pubs!! Very relaxing 3 days too short tho.... read more

Mike, Kaz, Nic and I decide to take a camping trip around Portugal!! Fly into Porto, pick up a rental and head to our first nights destination. Extremely hot so the cold beer is very welcomed. Next day we tour Porto sightseeing along the river and head to a port tasting factory very interesting, some botlles of port date to 1851 for a mere 3500 euros!! Next destination Evira and Coimbra have lunch and a wander - bloody hot! Drive the scenic route to Tomar, set up camp have dinner and beers and a swim thank god. Up early pack up and off to Evora for lunch and wander cool little place with tiny streets. Carry on back in the car and off to Avira, awesome spot with lakes and wicked scenery. Arrive in Istanbul to great weather real hot and search out our hostel have a walk round historic centre and visit the Blue Mosque massive place very impressive. Spend next 2 days exploring Istanbul then take overnight trip to Gallipoli. Very sobering standing where 250,000 Turks kiwis and Ausys lost their lives in such a small area. Guide tells us over 6000 bullets found per square metre! Visit NZ Australian and Turk memorials and a lot of the trenches still in tact unbelievable place. Amazing to see such horrific things could have happened in such a beautiful place. Spend the night in Cannakale then head to the ruins of the ancient city of Troy again wicked to be standing on ground that have learned and read about so much! I Arrive in Cairo with Sheree, Rach, Jess, Monique, Nic and and fly straight into a sandstorm awesome. We Meet our tour leader and go out for dinner nice early night. next day up at 6 have breakfast and into Cairo museum see King Tuts jewels and mask very cool and learn lots about the history of the Pharohs and Egyptian empire. Next stop a perfumery and see where all top brands are made. Pyramids and Sphinx are next up very awesome but a liitle skinny going into the burial chamber in the Pyramid. See a papyrus factory then catch an overnight train to Aswan. Go for a trip on the Nile across to a Nubian village have traditional meal and look around the village very cool people. Mike, Kaz, Jeremy, Ewa Nic and i fly out very early to Prague then catch 2 hour taxi to Harrachov. Arrive around midday and explore the little town and few drinks and bed early. Up at 7 and spend the day boarding and skiing awesome snow and the chairlift 100 mtrs from our door. Hardly anyone arounfd so have the mountain pretty much to ourselves the first day! After wedding Everyone heads to a little village outside Zakopane called Bialka. Spend 5 Days snowboarding in awesome conditions and spend new years up the hill with beers vodka grilled cheese sausages and fireworks!!! all good have to leave all to soon but awesome holiday! ... read more

Fly through Munich and Dusseldorf into Warsaw on xmas day then taxi to Olsztyn with Mike, Kaz, Guesty, Jess, Sheree, Nic and I for wedding of Jeremy and Eva. Awesome time there traditional Polish wedding great food lots and lots of vodka and good times.... read more

Train from Budapest to Zagreb in Croatiawith Ben and Rach. Spend 2 days looking around in teperatures around 36 degrees very hot! Next mission another 5.5 hours on a train to Split where our cruise starts. Spend the night in Split and have a look round very cool little place. Check into our boats at 12:00 and sort our rooms. Name of the boat is the Omladinac which means young man apparently. Get a rundown from the crew abouit the boat and met a few of the other sailors. All Kiwi and Aussies around the same age which is cool. Finally set sail from Split around 2:00 in very hot weather and not long before we stop and jump overboard for a swim.
