Monday March 14th 2011 More driving across the hills today, overlooking the Tarn river. We had picked this route to get a good view of the world’s highest viaduct at Millau and were delighted when there was an open visitor centre and viewing point there. It really is a feat of modern engineering and has to be seen to be believed ( though Max was relieved that we didn’t have to actually drive over it ). As the afternoon turned to evening, the weather started to deteriorate. Luckily, we were able to secure a parking spot at a local lamb farm for the night.
