I left Colombia on monday feeling a little worse for wear and a little sad to be leaving such a great place. I had been there long enough to get quiet comfortable with my surroundings but it was time to move on to the next adventure. I never planned on visiting quito originally , I was only interested in hitting the coast of ecuador to get some waves but after reading more about it and hearing stories from other travellers I felt that I would be cheating myself if i missed out on visiting this city. The bus ride to Cartagena was less than comfortable . Although it was only a short trip four hours, I had picked the wrong place to sit i jumped in the back seat and the leg room was not big enough for a child. Once I arrived in cartagena I found that there was a place hotter than santa marta. The humidity was nearly unbearable I was dying for a shower. The bus dropped me out the front of a hostel called the media luna art hostel it was right in the centre of getsmani which was cartagenas zona rosa. Hola amigos, well my days in Bogota are coming to an end. Im very excited to move on with my adventure without the comfort of having so many people who speak english to help me along it should make for some interesting stories i reckon! Anyway ,where i last left you which i think was friday. yes? anyway lets just say friday, i dont think it really matters haha. So the day I had been waiting for finally came. After so much planning and set backs i was finally leaving for my big adventure. Leaving everybody at the airport was tough and it made for a restless flight to Santiago. The fligh its self was great excellent food and very comfortable. I did everything i possible could to sleep but it was never going to happen unfortunately. Flying into Santiago Chile was incredible, we where literaly flying at the same height as these huge snow capped mountains , to give you an idea of the size of these monsters.
