I am a 3rd year college student and I LOVE to travel! I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I am currently studying at Rutgers University. I am spending this spring semester in Puebla Mexico, and I am SO excited!! My bestest friends Nishi and Tal will be accompanying me through everything, so you'll hear a lot about them!!

I have been terrible about writing in this blog! But finally I will describe thewonderful weekend that I had (now almost 2 weeks ago) Liz and her boyfriend Nick came to visit, they arrived on Friday, the 22nd of Feb. On Saturday we headed to Veracruz, Veracruz which is the closest beach to Puebla, only a little over 3 hours in the bus. Veracruz is a very important port city in Mexico and there is a naval bas there and other cool things to see. Our First Break from school! Puerto Escondido

PUERTO ESCONDIDO! one of the surf capitals of the world! although I was terrified to surf these waves, I was in awe of the beauty of this place. The sunsets (atardecer) were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Because Puerto is a small town with zero high rise hotels etc. there is a clear view of the horizon. Nishi, Tal, Nicole, Danielle, Luis and I all endured the 16 hour bus ride (each way!) It actually wasn't bad at all! A Wonderful Saturday :)

Today was an extremely beautiful day! we woke up late and then went to lay out in the sun, yes in shorts and tank tops in the middle of January! And this is supposedly as cold as it gets here :) we ordered Papa Johns (which by the way is very expensive in Mexico!) this came to my suprise! But it was delicious! First Day of Classes!

HOLA!!!! I am looking out my dorm room window right now as the sun is shining brightly and i can hear the very nice women who clean our rooms everyday just outside my door. Nishi and I are rooming together even though we requested Mexican roommates. There just weren't enough new Mexican students this semester, but its okay because we are making friends all over the place, both within our international group and with Mexicans at the University and at nearby Universities.
