Well...I'm Home And what an amazing trip I have had! Arriving at Heathrow: was so good to see mum and dad, I got a balloon!! It was hovering above the crowd and read 'Welcome Home Kate' a balloon!!! so I followed it and was greeted by two big hugs!!! Then there was the jet-lag but I also wanted to catch up with everyone so I was a bit of zombie for a couple of days, then I convinced myself I had Malaria, went to the docs and it turned out it's just a bug, still bed-bound but at the same time working on the old CV trying to make it so perfect that the moment I send it off i'll be offered my dream job, that's not too much to expect is it? Other than that ... read more

Well, back in Bangkok, flying home tomorrow! it doesn't really feel like the end, I have had the most amazing time, loved it so much. I have kept a journal with me the entire time and stuck bits and bobs in, there is a bit more detail in them than my blogs but don't worry you aren't missing out on too much. I will probably blog more when I'm home too, incase anyone's interested! We have come to our last few baht, chosen presents over food (well...you can get a decent Pad Thai for 40p, so we aren't exactly starving ourselves) Met so many people, hope to stay in contact with, already have many parties planned!! Time to go back to the real world, but feel a bit more ready for it now. I'm going to ... read more

Hello! Welcome to Singapore! Got in late last night and went on a wander to our first hostel. Oh I have fallen in love...with Air Conditioning, it is my new favourite thing in the world! although the more time we spend in the humidity the more I am getting used to it. Was in a dorm of 28 people last night, and i would say about 20 of them were heavy snorers, put the old ipod in. this morning we awoke to free breakfast! then put the backpack on and went on a search for somewhere else to stay, we were central in the city and ended up walking around for about an hour, looked like someone has poured a bucket of water over us. then finally found a place, changed and tried to see as ... read more

Nerves were building...got on the boat which was amazing! and the crew were so friendly, then the guy says 'for those of you diving today please go to top deck for a safety talk etc' so off we went, and the girl doing the talk scared me soooo much. surely they are meant to reassure? all i picked up on was 'sharks yeah they're around' 'don't hold your breathe or your lungs will burst' 'it will feel very odd' 'lots of people panic' WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME THIS?!?! crazy girl trying to scare me oh and there was 'your eyes ... read more
