Hello Again Intrepid Readers, It's been forever since I've updated this, but I did return home for Christmas and the real me is so much better than the electronic tales. However, mom asked that I updated, so here I am, updating. Exams are over for me. I finished them last Tuesday and then continued to putz around all week, being generally unproductive. Exams are actually three weeks long and don't end until this Saturday (the 7th). Second Semester starts on the 9th. I can't wait. I don't mind having a could days off, but this is getting ridiculous. I didn't leave my room much Wednesday to Friday of last week and I was getting cabin fever. I went out Friday night with Sam and her flatmates to celebrate Sam's end of exams. We went to a ... read more

I finally did it! I made my way to London this weekend. And boy am I glad I don't live there. It was pricey! But totally worth it. I went with four friends and we stayed in a really cheap hostel in Notting Hill (yup, like the movie). It was a really nice, middle class neighborhood, with beautiful white row houses and within walking distance to the tube. The tube is amazing. I would love to just zip around the city all day long underneath it. We did ride the double decker bus (as is required) but I wasn't all that impressed. Hello Everyone! It's my three week anniversary here today! Yay! It feels like I've been here much longer, and yet the days pass very quickly. School went well. The classes are fun and all of the professors are really nice. My German professor is interested in whether or not the American accent makes it easier to pronounce some words, so she keeps talking to me one on one and asking me questions about pronunciation. I don't think it makes it easier, but some words to flow easier for me. French is, as always, a struggle with pronunciation but I do well with the grammar. My history classes are so much fun. There is a lot of reading for both, but I don't mind. I like reading. I only have classes monday-wednesday, so I enjoy a great ... read more

Hello Everyone! I've finally moved into my accommodation for the next year and it's amazing. The girls I'm living with are all really nice and open. They keep their doors open, or hang out in the kitchen. I think I know all of their names, but I'm not sure. We've been going out to all of the events for Intro Week. School doesn't actually start for another week. I went to the international intro week, and now all the freshers have their first week, to get used to the campus and then school starts on the 29th of Sept. I can't wait for classes to start. I really miss having something to do and feeling collegiate. I have a very international flat. There are four girls from Britian, one from France, one from Canada, one from ... read more
