Turkey Jerky in Auckland I had trouble bringing in Trader Joe Turkey Jerky even though it was sealed last month. I was in line going through the extra search and after the woman looking at a series of pdfs she surmised that only certain countries could bring in turkey...and those countries were...another 15 minutes of internet reading...were...NONE.
The irony...the American Turkey Jerky was not allowed in New Zealand on American Thanksgiving!
welcome back to the land of internet!! Tasmania sounds wonderful and the pictures are beautiful! Thanks for your emails and condolences regarding Sonia. Take care
beautiful colors Thanks for posting these beautiful photos Jean. Their trees are certainly colorful. You have to wonder how or what they use to trim the huge green hedge with the archway cut into it! Talk about a privacy fence. hahaha Keep on enjoying safe travels! Happy Thanksgiving weekend from GP AB.
Driving on the wrong side of the road I do not envy Ken being the driver in strange places and on the "wrong" side of the road!! Hopefully Queenie will make life easier. Happy to hear you are enjoying your adventure and having lovely weather. I am off to begin my journey in the early a.m. Take good care,
Sounds like you are having a great time, seeing lots and tasting lots of different food. I was told when we were there not to eat the Kangeroo as it was full of worms! We are off to Sicamous with Phil and Dianne to golf for a few days, home on Friday then getting ready for our departure down south. We are leaving right after Thanksgiving. Weather is getting cool now almost ready to turn the furnace on. Enjoying your blogs.
Sounds like you 2 are having a great time. Love reading about your adventures and seeing your pics. sure hope your cold doesn't last Jean! All is well here!
beautiful! Wow! That would have been a great day--how did Papa do with the boat ride? Would I have been leaning over the rail, or do you think I would have been ok? Sounds like the people are extremely friendly.
Hi Jean and Ken, Happy to hear all is going well as you begin your adventure. Great the mist cleared and you were able to actually see the Blue Mountains and it was not tooooo hot at Ayers Rock. Envious reading about the Sounds of Silence Dinner (want to be there again!!!Hope your cough clears up Jean and you enjoy South Pacific at the Opera House. Take good care, Barb
Home Sounds like you are having a great holiday. Enjoy! We just got home from a 15 day trip to Newoundland. Had a great time. Some cool rain and fog but a lot of sunshine too and the temp was in the 20's with high humidity. Something we were not used to.
Newfoundland Hi Glenda,
Glad you had a great holiday. We found another place that changes by half an hour! At Ayres rock, they didn't know there was another place either!!
We loved Newfoundland and the Newfies. Only been once but would love to go back sometime. I think the Aussies would relate, even the accents!!
Put another shrimp on the barbie! Sounds like a fairly trouble free trip to Down Under. Your picture in front of the water and opera house in Sydney was really nice! Kinda weird to know we're communicating with each other so easily and yet you are half way around the world!! Keep having fun! Hope the rain lets up and the sun comes out!
Sounds fun I have a housekeeper today to get ready for the weekend but I don't think I'll get her again, she wants to do everything her way and doesn't like my way. Who's paying for this anyway? But I guess it will be cleaner anyways. Heather is at work but they told her she should not have any more 4AM shifts Yeh!!!!
Joy and Patsy are both coming to stay for a few days so I won't get time to rest up this week. Should be fun though having them here. The real estate guy told me to bring the 'real property report' but he neglected to mention the report from the city, the lawyer sent the request in but it may not get back in time for the closing day on the 18th. More fun and games. Hope you are still enjoying the sights. Hugs. E.
