Great perspective! Excellent adventures with the motley crew! I'm taking your advise and meeting up with Anna Adventuring today in Arequipa, Peru, and Brendan Vermillion in La Paz, Bolivia, in a week. You've inspired a rash of TB reunions!
Sealed with a rose Wow...that amazing time together came tumbling back reading this blog...the laughter in the photos...our first meeting in KL...reunion in Sydney...encapsulating what is Travelblog with your wonderful words. You are one beautiful lady Jo...thank you for being you. Can't wait for the next time we meet...we'll make it happen.
WOW Too good a blog of photos to not write the 500 words...so this not on Front Page...don't know what I can do with you Jo...too old to put over my knee! A great adventure for a select group to share. Great photos.
haha - it's actually an old blog which I was using for testing for someone. I could probably put together 500 words for it - but other entries need finishing first ;-)
I'll be back! Peru dances in jot for for the tourist, bursting with life and colour like nowhere else other than India! We're sure you loved every moment.

Great Memories Ah, your pictures brought back some great memories. It looks like you had a great time and did as much as possible. I'm glad you made it to Peru.
Peru is next on our list for 2014... but I'm curious...how did a blog published in 2006 just show up in the right column of my Control Panel? Anyway, it looks like the weather was poor in May...we'll probably go a bit later in the season.
Well, to be honest I was testing something for a user and needed to move a blog entry with a large number of photos. This entry was the one I used, and I used the quiet publish, but this still puts it in the CP of followers. A nice trip down memory lane at the same time :-)
@The Dancing One: Yes, on a high (but also a little sad to be saying goodbye) from a magical finish to a wonderful weekend, I rushed back to the apartment to grab my bags and head for the night bus to Paradise :-)
The bestest among the best! Ohhhh, I love how u put this altogether Jo. You waxed poetic and sentimental all throughout.... Enjoyed reading this. Thank you for allowing us to glimpse through a window of your soul.
Your most eloquent blog A blog full of evocative descriptions that beautifully conveyed a sense of place. The lovely photographs added to the ambience you created with your words.
Congratulations! This image (captioned as "The Fallen") was bestowed with an Honours Award in the Auckland Photographic Society's May 2012 Competition. May you receive further recognition for your photography in the future!
Thanks :-)

Nicely done Jo! We too in Canada proudly honour our Veterans with remembrance, they are the reason we live the life we do and can travel freely. We will never forget.
Oh and one of my favourite songs is the band played waltzing Matilda by the Pogues...I think it is really amazingly done.
It was so lovely meeting you Jo - serendipitous indeed! I love the photos you took including the one of Affandy and Dancing Dave (already commented on above), but also the ones you took at the Bird Aviary, like the Wood Spotted Owl, how gorgeous!!
