My property has plenty of space for camping. i have outdoor power, a toilet, bathroom and kitchen for use. We are in a beautiful location, right on the water. pets welcome.

It's not a Trilobite, they're extinct looooong time ago! It's a Chiton sp. (scientific name) I know about the matter...

You have a wonderful way of telling a story! Your blog brought it all back and made me smile. Just a small correction The Hunter Valley is not in the Blue Mountains. It near Newcastle. We had a home in the blue mountains as well as the Hunter. love you lots Margaret and Kev xxxxx

Alas Rufus fell out of my backpack at the house just before we left so he didn't get to be in any photos this time. Bad dog!

car hire
we checked over the car for prior damage with the rep before we left - have heard of horror stories of being charged for other people's damage which is not cool at all!

car hire
Great blog about a beautiful island. I had a dreadfully different experience with Waiheke Auto Rentals - the car was covered in bashes and bumps, they charge a- fortune for each kilometre and then charge you on your credit card (with no notification) for exixting damage! Sounds like you had a lucky escape with them to be honest.

Hi Both I have read viewed and enjoyed (as always) thanks for up date. Question how do you manage to write caption on your photos? love and hugs Margaret I have a very sad ps, do you remember Bert? mums next door neighbour in Hull? he died yesterday at the very ripe age of 94ish bert had a long life and had all of his marbles to the end. The saddest part for me is that I wont be able to say goodbye but on a positive note he was staying with his niece at the time so was amongst friends

First Flying Lesson?
Good to see you've got Jish out and about - Is that the first flying lesson he's had? I like the look of the tree hammocks and the vegetation generally. :-)

As usual! Jish does look a bit fly-like in the sunglasses I think. I’m sure that the inhabitants of the historic Maori site were feeling very secure and well protected by the Maori Glynn! Just so long as the inner flower doesn’t surface in the event of attack!

dub dub dub
oooh, I cracked up at dub dub dub for www too. So funny to hear adults saying it. And jandals. A lot of the other things - like smoko, and the drink and drive slogans - are very similar to home in OZ. But Kiwis definately have their own way of doing (and saying) things. We also love that a babycino in NZ is called a fluffie (in Australia a fluffy is a polite words kids use to say 'fart').
