Well Sadly it was our last day :O( so rather than sitting feeding the machines all day we headed off to the Hoover Dam. The dam is amazing, and is a must see. It was designed with simply pencil & paper. It was a seven year project that came in two years ahead of schedule & under budget. Like that would happen today! The water levels have dramatically dropped and are 160' below where they should be, the white line shows where the level was some years ago. If you walk over the dam you will find yourself in Arizona & a different time zone. So that was twice in one week for us. It was then off to Ethel M's chocolate factory in Boulder city. Where they make really good chocolate. Pretty cacti garden too. ... read more

OMG i'm 40 today, not that you would think it to look at me!!!! Had a card and 3 blue rays from Coral. I would like to say a big thank you to all those who wished me a happy birthday, Martin, Lisa & Omari (the guy from the job agency). I also had some emails, the lottery, supply chain & my offers. Not one message from family!!!!!!............. What goes around, comes around as the saying goes....I'm honestly not bitter, just very disappointed. Spent the day gambling, won some, lost more. It's my birthday & i'll cry if I want too, lol. Had another lovely meal at The top of the world restaurant. Had a chill out day in all and spent it with the person who means most to me... Coral. Thanks for a lovely ... read more

Had a really nice lie in until the handle on our door was tried, a little unerving to say the least but for some strange reason the night before I put a chair under the handle to be on the safe side, as you do with every place you stay at.....lol We decided that there wasn't enough to do in Tombstone to warrant a 3 night stay so we re-arranged our flight back to Las Vegas that evening. So that gave us 9 hrs to see everything in Tombstone, Including the re-inactment of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral which was excellent. Tombstone is a great palce to go, but only really for a day or two. One of the amusing signs on most of the shop windows was No Guns Allowed....we thought it was a ... read more

Up early again as we had another flight to catch, to another unknown destination!! It was in the departure lounge, again, that I found out the flight destination.....being Tuscon, but not the final destination...... I was given a clue being T.T.T.T.T.D.....WTF!!! after an hour I managed to work it out "The Town Too Tough To Die" - Tombstone. It's an Hr's drive from Tuscon Airport, and if you hire a car and more importantly a Satnav then don't hire them from Dollar........bloody useless, it couldn't even direct us out the airport then froze half way there......lol But we said it wasn't going to ruin our stay!! When we finally arrived at our Motel, we were told they had doubled booked us for that night and booked a room in the second best motel in Tombstone..........but even ... read more

Day 4 3:30 am!! note to self drink more cocktails ;o) This is the day we have been looking forward to. It's off to Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City to try out some very long zip- lines. Check out www.bcflightlines.com. Only one american word can describe this truly exhillirating ride ... AWESOME!!! they call it a zip-line on steroids....lol and they're not kidding. The views on top of the canyon were truly breathtaking and our tour guides Ridge and Rambo were very entertaining. After 2 1/2hrs of adventure, we managed to get dropped off at the Venetion on the strip and walked to the Bellagio to watch the famous fountain display, before heading back to Circus Circus for some gambling. Finally my luck has turned.....I actually won $75....lol In the evening we went for dinner at ... read more

Day 3 Awake again at 3am.....woop woop!! Decided to have a day of leisure today and took a trip to the Shopping outlet in Downtown LV. Coral managed to find a shop selling Ugg boots and is now the proud owner of a pair. We walked back to our hotel because we could see it and it looked real close, turns out it was 3+ miles from the outlet. Later we went up to the observation deck in the tower some 900ft up, and watched the brave/stupid people launching themselves off it only $100 to jump off it, we took the elevator....it's free. In an attempt to help us sleep we enjoyed a cocktail. ... read more

Our day started rather earlier than planned when we woke up at 2am, body clocks not on Vegas time yet, Wahoo!!.....lol So we used to time wisely and unpacked :O). We headed off for a big breakfast at Denny's. and then hit the casino's and it wasn't even 10am. I'm rather rubbish when in it comes to gambling, unlike the pro that Coral is ......she got $141 from the one armed bandit.....didn't even know his name poor fella.....lol!! I do believe I would have better luck at the game called Craps so may have to think about giving that a go!! We later took a bus to Downtown Vegas - Freemont street where they have an 800 ft zip line, we didn't do this as we have something better planned for Monday....Watch this space!! Gambled some ... read more

Well, this trip is all about my birthday. My 40th to be exact. It has all be planned by Coral and everything is a surprise. All I had been told was to book a week off work and that we were flying from London Heathrow in the afternoon. That's it! This is where the adventure begins! We arrived at the airport, go to bag drop, where Coral informs the lady that this trip is a surprise for my birthday, so I don't even find out then. We make our way to gate 43 and I can't even see the departure screen. At every flight departure announment, Coral say's, right it's this one! I then hear a tannoy announcement for Las Vegas and the voice says, gate 43. Yay, i'm going to Vegas baby. 10 years after ... read more

Day 15 Getting prepared for Christmas and our trip home, Coral and I headed off to Walmart for the last time.....Yippee!! Don't get us wrong we love Walmart but there is only so many times you can go there and only so much you can spend.......lol Well 2 1/2 hours later we got back home.....lol Jackie, Alan, Samantha & Olivia were still in the pool. Knocking on 3hrs now.......they didn't look like prunes at all. :O) Jackie & Alan went off to The Loop shopping whilst Coral and I looked after Samantha and Olivia. Samantha jet washed the front drive and Olivia made cookies........Child Labour ain't it cool ;o).....lol We took the two girls to get some goat fudge ice cream......Delicious.....and then on to meet up with J & A at Congo River Golf.........Where I did ... read more

Day 13 After a quick dip in the ceremonial pool we headed off out to Blue Springs. It's about an hours drive east on the I-4. We went with Jenifer, Dennis, Paula, Savannah & Ellen and newly born Scarlett Olivia (Savannah's sister). It's a natural spring that flows warm water to the river, and because of this the Manatee like to come here in the colder months. The pictures speak for themselves. After that we went back to J & D's for games. Day 14 We pretty much had another chill out day stayed at home and played in the pool, and later went out and did a little bit of shopping :O) ... read more
