Welcome to Hollywood
Hi folks! Well sadly last day today :O( And what better way to spend it than visiting the Movie stars homes and other landmarks in Hollywood!! Firstly we went on an open air trolley bus and went around Hollywood visiting the famous sites such as the Hollywood Bowl which is the largest amphitheatre in America and has been host to some of the biggest acts. We then drove on and got to view and take pictures of probably the most famous sign in the world "Hollywood" which was originally called Hollywoodland, but the land came down in a landslide. The sign [View Full Entry]

Hi Guys & Gals, Last full day and once again the weather is s**t, with a high of 62 degrees today. Unfortunately a large proportion of the states is having some diverse weather and we arrived just in time for it......wahoo!!.....not :O(. The only good day was Wed. and so we missed most of it due to the football, which was a small price to pay considering the outcome :O). We went to Universal Studios today. The weather was pretty overcast with prolonged showers so we had to buy jackets :o/ Did a few different rides/tours than the one in Florida, [View Full Entry]

Guess where we are?
Hi All, Thought we'd have a leisurely day today and so headed for City Walk which is next to Universal Studios. We had a hidden agenda because they have a cinema there and went to watch Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull, which was really good fun :O). After, we went for a stroll around City Walk soaking in the atmosphere. We ended up having a spot of lunch at Bubba Gump's restaurant, where I had yet another small desert......OMG!! ;o) see photo. Upon returning to the hotel we decided to relax by the pool. No sooner had [View Full Entry]

Van Der Sar, you da man!!
Arrived late on the 20th. We walked up the road for something to eat, we went to Jerry's a 24/7 restaurant, quite weird on two fronts really, 1) no one walks around here so we were the only ones on the streets a bit eerie and 2) sitting down for a meal at midnight. I guess we were still on Hawaiian time...lol Wednesday. Really haven't done much today as we had a fantastic night sleep, it's quiet and beds are sooooooooo comfortable. Didn't get up until 11.00am and turned on the TV and tuned in to watch Man Utd v Chelsea [View Full Entry]

Aloha :O) peeps, After a great day out with dolphins, we thought we'd have a relaxing Sunday by Kayaking......lol We drove up to Kailua Beach where we started our little adventure. After a quick safety lesson we headed down to the beach where we set off towards Flat Island, the sea was very calm so made paddling a lot easier. We passed a little white island to which we found out was inhabited by birds only and so called "Bird S**t Rock".....lol. When we landed at Flat island we had a short tour around the perimiter as it was a bird [View Full Entry]

Aloha!! Well what a day we've had today!! We were up at 5.15am and off around the corner to Denny's for breakfast, and I might add like London this place never sleeps. 7.00am was pick time for an hours drive to the west coast to Waianae for our swimming with dolphins trip. After a 20 min. ride out on a sea that was as flat as a mill pond, in what can only be described as a huge dingy......lol, we arrived at our destination. You could see the Hawaiian Spinner dolphin straight away, and boy were there a lot of them, [View Full Entry]

Aloha Again, We had a much deserved day off on Thursday....lol :O) and what a better way to relax than go to the beach!! So we headed back to Waimanalo Beach, on the way we stopped off at another beach and did a bit of beachcombing where we searched for shels and coral, I found coral in the end she was was behind me....lol After reaching Waimanalo we sunbathed and played in the sea for about 5hrs. Oh My God did we burn!! We had company while in the sea in the shape of a greenback turtle which came to within [View Full Entry]

Hi All, Due to us being a bit on the pink side we decided to stay out of the sun yesterday. Our prayers were answered because although it was warm it was overcast and we even had some rain which lasted for a couple of hours or so. As it was a rest day we took it easy and did a little shopping, booked some tours and watched a film. Yay the sun is back!! :O) Today we went to the Kualoa Ranch approx 45 min drive from Waikiki which on the way there took us past quite a few places [View Full Entry]

Another day in Paradise Ventured futher around the island today. It's easy driving once you get out of Waikiki, which is mostly one way streets. Feel quite at home really, what with McDonalds, KFC & Burger King, all within walking distance. However, we have resisted so far! Ate at planet Hollywood last night, al fresco. Went to the Sea life park, as seen in 50 first dates. Not huge but still entertaining. They have the only Whalphin in the world, it was an accidental breeding of a killer whale & an Atlantic dolphin 22 years ago, it's pretty big. I guess [View Full Entry]

Hi all, Well we finally arrived after what seemed like a never ending flight, the highlight of what they called in flight entertainment was a happy go lucky film called PS I love you, which I have to say made me want to open the hatch door.........lol Got off the plane to be hit with 76 degress at 11pm so was very nice especially as i didn't pack anything with sleeves. Driving was entertaining, it took about 15 min.s to work out how to use the satnav...lol we had been up nearly 30 hours so i think we can be forgiven [View Full Entry]
