Go back and check out the entries for Ollantaytambo, Uruguay and Cuzco as we have now added photos! Ok so it doesn´t really seem like we´ve actually done very much since we came back from Uruguay, highlight was definately the skydive! We moved hostel and this new one seems a bit more homely, nice to have a few less people than the milhouse, this one might have a few too little though! Our room here is lovely though, we´ve both chosen bottom bunks so its nice not to have to climb up or worry about falling out! Again there are no ladders at all so would be interesting trying to get in and out in the middle of the night! Only disadvantage of this hostel really is there is not kitchen so we have to eat ... read more

We were to be picked up at 9am today from the lobby of our hostel to go for a skydive!!! (yeah we didnt tell mum what we were doing before we had done it!! and sorry Pam - dont know if your reading this, but you only told us not to do a bungee jump, you never mentioned skydiving!!!) We were both a bit nervous, but Marcello picked us up, and we had to go and pick up two more people who were going to do a skydive too. On the way to pick up the other two Marcello showed us a video of two people doing a skydive on his ipod. This made me feel a little less nervous as the 2 people doing it were smiling all the way through, and it didnt look ... read more

We got up (a bit later than we wanted to) to head down to the port. We had taken our big bags to the hostel we were staying at when we got back the night before so we only had our small bags. They were still really full as we had to have stuff for the three days. We had breakfast and walked to the port, wishing we had listened a bit more when the other girls from the hostel had told us the way! We found it though and it wasn´t too hard! When we went to buy tickets we were told we would have to buy first class as there was no space left in tourist class. Was only about 40 pesos more which is less than 8quid so we decided it was worth ... read more

So far we haven't seemed to do an awful lot here! Our first afternoon we got settled into our room in the hostel. Its was a seven bed room with three sets of bunkbeds and a single bed all of which are taken. Me and heath are both on top bunks, next to each other as these were the only two beds free. There is only one ladder in the room though for all the beds which is weird and annoying! We did get back today to find that the single had gone and in its place there was another set of bunk beds which is a bit weird, anyway all the beds are taken again. The door to get up to the bedrooms has a fingerprint sensor on it so we both had our fingerprint ... read more

Ok so we arrived in Buenos Aires today, really tired as we had to get up before 6 to go to the airport for our flight. Was really uneventful although flying over the Andes was cool! We've been trying to fill in the gap that we left in the blogs so you will probably get them in a completely random order as we finish and publish them. We spent quite a while in our last hostel trying to upload photos, thinking we would finish it off here, adding the words when we could so you could see what we'd been upto. Unfortunately the computers here at the hostel are really rubbish and old and have had the cd drives removed so we cant add any more for a while. There is also only three computers for ... read more

Ok so we were a bit rubbish after Kim left and didn't do very much! We did go up a little hill thing which was near the hostel. Not quite sure what its called! We got a finuncular up to the top (little railway thing) then took a walk across to get a round trip up and down on the cable car, then walked back along the top to get the funincular (dont know how its spelt so thought id go for a bit of variation!!) back down again. We thought we would get some really lovely pictures from the cable car as it was sunset, but we had to wait for over an hour to get on the cable car so in fact it was dark!!!! We did get some nice views of the city ... read more

Our room in the hostel was quite small with just a double bed in it, so small that you can only get into the bed from one side which was a bit annoying!!! We had only booked for two nights as we didn´t want to book for longer as we didn´t know what it would be like. Kim had also only booked for a few days but she was in the dorm. Its really nice here so we decided to book for the rest of the time we´re in Chile, partly because we´re too lazy to move elsewhere!!!! The hostel is really nice though, has a proper homely feel, with a proper kitchen so we can cook our own food. We moved into the dorm room which is actually really nice. There are three sets of ... read more

Ok so we thought we just put in a random blog. We´re in lima at the moment, but its a bit strange as pretty much everyone from our group has already gone, we´re here with just one other girl, but we fly to Chile later on tonight. Seems weird as we keep looking at our watchs!! Seems weird not being in a group of 11, but its nicer being able to go into a restuarant and not to have to re-arrange the whole place to fit us in!! The past few days we´ve been thinking about home and what we´re looking forward to as quite a few of the group have been going home. Obviously we´re looking forward to seeing everyone again at home! but we´re also looking forward to (not in order!) marmite on toast ... read more

this is really sad in some ways as our tour has come to and end and we are sad to not be travelling on with everyone, but it will be nice to not be in such a huge group!!! as we had had to wait so long to do the island trip it was later than we had expected when we reached lima. we just had time to have showers before meeting up to go out for our last meal all together. Nic was flying out that night so people were already starting to leave!!! we went to a bbq restaurant and matt advised us on a meal we should get. it was a mixed grill for 5 people, between 11 of us. we were a bit dubious whether there would be enough food for all ... read more

we stopped on the way at a cool place with a pool, wish actually we could have stayed there the last night as it seemed nicer than Nasca!!!! we had lunch here before we headed out to go sandboarding and sand buggying!!! Caz again decided to stay at the hostel place by the pool as she still wasn´t feeling great. Nic and Gabby came with us sand buggying but decided not to sandboard. the sand buggying was really cool, felt at time like you were on a rollercoaster cos of the way the guy was driving over the dunes, some of them we came over the top and found there was a really unexpected dip on the other side like a cliff edge!!! it must be the perfect blokes job to be the driver, our guy ... read more
