Deja Vu, well kinda but not quite. So after realizing that time was running out in my time on the land of the long white cloud, I had to finish up at work (yippee) and get back on the road. So where was I, ah yes we had just left Waitomo and we were onto Taupo. The bus was quiet on the way, this is not a regular occurrence and was due mainly to the fact that the majority of the bus were going to do a skydive once we arrived in Taupo. Bula everybody, so first off a bit of a rant, I left the cook Islands on the 26th of October and had a four hour flight but didnt arrive in Fiji until the 28th, the 27th did not exist in my world this is due to crossing the international date line. Kia ora from paradise, I’m now in the Cook Islands and it is beautiful here. Paradise does come at a price however, as Raratonga is only 32km all the way around the Island, most of their food has to be shipped from New Zealand meaning it is expensive especially when coming from the US where it is so cheap. I was staying at Varas backpackers and it was right on the beach, it was beautiful if a kind of strange set up. San Diego is my last US stop and it will be a chilled out one as I been trying to see as much as I can for too long and I basically need a rest. On arriving in San Diego, I was straight away hit by the heat, it is hot here and it was only 9.30 in the morning.
