C Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO-HOO What a ride!

If youˇ¦re not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room!

Ok so I am way behind on this but bear with me and forgive, im travelling around so at the moment im missing in action but you can presume that im loving it

So I of course arrive in Cambodia with a bang, we took a surprisingly comfortable bus journey from Saigon to Phnom Penh, we had leg room and everything. I may as well of been the president on air force one with all this luxury. The bus took 6 hours including the border crossing where we were spoonfed across immigration, they wouldn't even let us fill out any paperwork, even when it was just asking for our name, I know that my brain has not not been at all taxed for about a year now but even i could of managed to [View Full Entry]

So we arrived on the boat from Ko Tao to Ko Pha Ngan, was a quick 2 hour boat trip and everyone on the boat was on top form as the next couple of days, we were just going to party. Now of course Suzanne and Denise had pre booked their accommodation (5*) and i arrived 2 days before the full moon with no accommodation booked when thousands of people were flocking to the island to revel in full moon madness, luckily i was able to wrangle a bungalow and though it was more than i wanted to pay, i had [View Full Entry]

So where was I, oh yes I left the Beautiful Perentian Island on my birthday to head to Koto Bharu, my Gateway to Thailand. The border crossing on the east side of the Island has had some bad press so I decided that tonight I would book into a hostel in Koto Bharu hoping to make friends to cross the border with and that could help me celebrate my Birthday. Everyone on the boat was heading in the other direction to me so to save myself some moolah, i decided to get the public bus to KB, I waited and waited [View Full Entry]

You know what I'm talking about, those adverts of a beautiful golden beach with the clearest aqua blue water when a top heavy girl walks along the beach eating the bounty. Well that is where I am but im just heavy full stop (must stop eating banana pancakes, must stop) but seriously this beach is amazing, the whole island is amazing - it will take a lot to beat it as im not sure it is really impossible to match it. We arrived into Long Beach and set about finding some accommodation, we were lucky to find somewhere right near the [View Full Entry]

So I left the jungle and took the windy road to the Cameron Highlands in a bus that seemed to have no suspension. Cameron Highlands if you can guess is high which is a welcome relief as it is so much cooler here, you should of seen the grin on my face as i steeped off the bus. I arrived late that evening and after our, at times, sickening bus journey i decided to get settled into my digs for the night and grab some food. I headed into the town and treated myself to a Banana leaf curry and it [View Full Entry]

the lion sleeps tonight, well there isn't any lions but there is tigers. However they are deep deep in the jungle and I will not have time to get into the deeps of the jungle so no worries about me being attacked. Before i go on, i feel like i should just straighten this out, i know that some blogs are missing from new Zealand and these will eventually appear but i want to have my blogs as up to date as possible as my parents are worried about me alone in Asia (arh bless) and have a feeling that i [View Full Entry]

So I made it to Malaysia, after 9 hours on a quite comfortable bus journey. The border wasn't too bad and was only an hour wait but was disappointed when i didn't get a Malaysia stamp in my passport but and a departed Singapore stamp, half an hour later on the bus however we had to get off and go into the customs office where we finally received a Malaysia stamp, where we were in the world in between these two places i have no idea, no other country appears on the map, it must be a secret place that only [View Full Entry]

Yet another Deja vu for me - what seems like an age ago on my first backpacking adventure, our first stop was Singapore. Many backpackers dismiss Singapore, for a South Asian country, it is very westernized and expensive, but for me, I love it and due to the direction I traveled in, it is still my cheapest country to date which is a plus. Singapore is so clean though they finally legalized chewing gum a few years ago, non toilet flushers are not tolerated and littering is a big no no, yes they are strict but it makes it a nicer [View Full Entry]
