So I of course arrive in Cambodia with a bang, we took a surprisingly comfortable bus journey from Saigon to Phnom Penh, we had leg room and everything. So we arrived on the boat from Ko Tao to Ko Pha Ngan, was a quick 2 hour boat trip and everyone on the boat was on top form as the next couple of days, we were just going to party. So where was I, oh yes I left the Beautiful Perentian Island on my birthday to head to Koto Bharu, my Gateway to Thailand. The border crossing on the east side of the Island has had some bad press so I decided that tonight I would book into a hostel in Koto Bharu hoping to make friends to cross the border with and that could help me celebrate my Birthday. You know what I'm talking about, those adverts of a beautiful golden beach with the clearest aqua blue water when a top heavy girl walks along the beach eating the bounty. Well that is where I am but im just heavy full stop (must stop eating banana pancakes, must stop) but seriously this beach is amazing, the whole island is amazing - it will take a lot to beat it as im not sure it is really impossible to match it. So I left the jungle and took the windy road to the Cameron Highlands in a bus that seemed to have no suspension. Cameron Highlands if you can guess is high which is a welcome relief as it is so much cooler here, you should of seen the grin on my face as i steeped off the bus. the lion sleeps tonight, well there isn't any lions but there is tigers. However they are deep deep in the jungle and I will not have time to get into the deeps of the jungle so no worries about me being attacked. So I made it to Malaysia, after 9 hours on a quite comfortable bus journey. The border wasn't too bad and was only an hour wait but was disappointed when i didn't get a Malaysia stamp in my passport but and a departed Singapore stamp, half an hour later on the bus however we had to get off and go into the customs office where we finally received a Malaysia stamp, where we were in the world in between these two places i have no idea, no other country appears on the map, it must be a secret place that only [View Full Entry]

Yet another Deja vu for me - what seems like an age ago on my first backpacking adventure, our first stop was Singapore. Many backpackers dismiss Singapore, for a South Asian country, it is very westernized and expensive, but for me, I love it and due to the direction I traveled in, it is still my cheapest country to date which is a plus.
