After the best non-playoff season I remember during my time on the planet for the Michigan State football program, they came up big this year. They beat the favored Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game and were awarded a trip to Pasadena! I drove down from San Francisco, arriving into LA on Sunday 29 Dec. Most everyone that I was meeting in LA departed on 2 January, but I hung around the area for a couple more days and drove back to San Francisco that Sunday, a week after I had arrived. Here are some photos from that trip.

Welcome to my travel blog. Thus far, I have shared a few of my recent trips, some highlights below : 1) Japan, Sep 2014. With the allure of a very foreign culture to me, non-English speaking, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Shinkansen (bullet trains), Tsukiji fish market, and Sumo wrestling, it was time for a two week break from life and traveled to Japan for the second half of September.
