My wife Sindy and I are going traveling for about 4 months starting in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year. We have only booked the flight and hotel in Hong Kong so far and plan to book the rest as we go. The plan as it is now will take us from Hong Kong to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India (Goa), Turkey. From there we want to go to Egypt and may go through Greece or Syria, Jordan and Israel. We are also considering carrying on to Tunisia and Morocco but will be checking the travel advisor first. If we still have time and money Spain and Portugal would be nice. Wish us luck...

Malaysia! Once again changing plans Asia » Thailand » South-West Thailand » Krabi

OK, So once again we are changing plans! Now we are heading back to Malaysia to go diving at the Parention Islands. I will be doing my rescue diver course as I now have enough dives to move forward with my education. We will likely spend a few week in Malaysia beofre heading home as we have be offered a fantastic business opportunity that we just can't pass up. Hi y'all! It's been a while, but here we are still alive and well. We spent 2 weeks in Koh Lanta yet again and it's beginning to feel more like home everytime. Who knows it may actually be home some day soon... when opportunity knocks! We just arrived in Krabi today and plan on going to Bangkok tomorrow. One night in Phuket Asia » Thailand » South-West Thailand » Phuket

We are spending one night in Phuket (not by choice) then we are heading back to Ko Lanta to visit our friends at the Lanta pearl resot (it should be dirt cheap as it's low season) before heading north. The only good thing I have to say about Phuket is that the internet connection is great but there is no where to put a disk in this computer!!! So again no freakin pictures!!! So we got out of Kuta and ended up in Padang Bay. We fired the first dive company we started diving with (AquaMarine in Seminyak) as they were incompetent. I won't go into detail but I have reported them to PADI. We ended up diving with a local guy (Tuncas) who knew the area and gave us excellent rates ($50 2 dives a day). If you like Cancun Mexico you might like it here.... I for one do not like beach towns with booming bars and every merchant you pass grabbing you and trying anything they can to sell you something! Maybe 10-20 years ago this place would be fun but now...not so much. OK we are spending a few more days in Koh Raya and moving on to the advanced open water deep sea diving course. We have become friends with all the Finns running the place and are now getting %15 discounts on our courses and dives which makes it easier to stay and get it done.
