We are now in Chalong bay just south of Puket and once again, the internet is useless for uploading pictures.... This is a damn shame as I have sooo many excellent pictures to post! I will again keep the blog short as this feels like a huge waste of time without them. I went with all our Finn friends to "Job to do" (big ragge band in Thailand) while Sindy stayed at the hotel and got caught up on her TV watching (first satellite or TV we have had in a long time). The show was a blast but I left early as I was tired from diving earlier in the day. We counted wrong and over stayed our 30 no visa by two days, which is an offence here. Not to worry we went to immigration this morning and got our 7 day extension and paid the 2000 Baht penalty... It cost us 6400 Baht total for the extension and may make a visa run to Myanmar in the next few days. We have heard great thing about Myanmar from an older Swiss couple we were diving with...nice super rich lawyer and his wife who travel a lot. We may spend a few days there to see what it is like.....(It is a military government but don't believe the hype about being a tourist there) as long as you are not a journalist or try to bring propaganda into the country.

My wife Sindy and I are going traveling for about 4 months starting in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year. We have only booked the flight and hotel in Hong Kong so far and plan to book the rest as we go. The plan as it is now will take us from Hong Kong to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India (Goa), Turkey. From there we want to go to Egypt and may go through Greece or Syria, Jordan and Israel. We are also considering carrying on to Tunisia and Morocco but will be checking the travel advisor first.
