Well we have arrived at our final destination in the Pacific. We are in Tonga and it is absolutly amazing. We will have about 6 days here and then we head off for NZ our final detination. The pictures included are of the society islands.... read more

We had an amazing time in the Marquesas, visiting Ua Pou after Nuku Hiva. We departed in high spirit and after 2.5 days sailing we were about to drop the sails and motor into Manihi part of the Tuamotu Archipelago. We were all really looking foorward to seeing the atolls, diving and snorkelling with a visibility of 50m and more. Anyway we discovered that the boat would not move so after a bit of tweaking, Neil went under boat to look at propeller to discover that it was not there. So we had to bypass all of the islands and head straight for Tahiti, to source parts and make repairs. We got a tow into Papeete harbour from a commercial tug and are due to be here for about 8-10 days while we wait for parts ... read more

Well we have now completed our big Pacific Crossing and are in Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas. We also have a new crew member on board Marga so we are five again only this time the women outnumber the men, Yes dad is surrounded by females again storey of his life. It has taken a while to get around to doing a blog page, its such a busy life at sea. To keep it simple here are some of our pictures to date which give a flavour of what we have been upto since December. In the future I will try and keep you more informed. We are now in Galapagos and set off for the Marquesas on Wednesday all going well on our second big ocean crossing. We are doing an island tour tomorrow.
