Unnamed Statue I believe this statue is in front of, or near, Humboldt University in Berlin. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Does anyone know the name of this monument, what it represents, or the name of the man on top?
I'm only 15 but I feel like Im losing my life already just staying in my comfort zone. I work hard at school and I look at your photography and it's inspired me to take everything as it comes and when I get old enough, I would like to travel the world and see what I never have.
I don't want to be a tourest either.
Like in Spain, we stayed on a tourist site and didn't interact with the Spanish or go to Spanish shops or restaurants.
We only live once and I want to go everywhere as soon as possible before settling down or I know I will regret it.
Great writing - lovely story .... I am an Englishman who lives in Kiev so I can sympathise with your time here.
Thank you for taking the time to share your story with the rest of the world. I enjoyed reading it.
Be happy
Joe
Thank you Jeremy, thank you for all you have done for the children of Kenya. You are such a blessing and I am glad you follow your heart and do the things you do. I am so ready to go back to Kenya. My husband and I are praying and know we will go, we are just not sure when. I am glad you0 made it home safe. Take care of yourself and keep in touch.
under His wings Hey Jeremy,
Nelson said, "But through God’s love, I am safe and sound under his wings." Check out Malachi 4:2. Then the story of the woman who sought to touch the hem of Jesus garment in Luke 8:43-47. The word of Wing and Hem in Hebrew is the same 'kanaph'. This is a messianic prophecy in Mal 4:2 fulfilled in Luke's story about this woman.
Then Nelson, you and me and all who believe are benefactors.
Praying for you brother.
In Christ
Dennis
Hi! Hi Jeremy, any chance we might see you in Jordan again? I really enjoy reading your travel blog. Plus, your pictures are amazing!
Have a safe journey,
Best wishes,
Jennifer
Welcome Home! Jeremy- Welcome back home! I'm sure you will have some travel withdrawls, so just lock yourself in your room until you're ready to get out! Haha... I would love to sit down and pick your brain about your travels. I'm ready to walk away and experience life, myself. Are you sure you're not up for another jaunt around the world? :-) Tam should be home in about three weeks or so to surprise mom for her birthday (shhhhhh...don't tell Momma Lou!). I'm sure you two will find some time to meet up. Thanks for all the awesome pictures from your travels!
Check ebay I'll bet you anything they did not destroy your knives. The woman you took a picture of probably has them in her house or is trying to hock them on Ebay.
That cop manhandled you didn't she - that look is of a woman who just finished putting a middle eastern smack down on a stubborn westerner... Sorry you lost your knives though, they look really cool. You trip through the Holy Land sounded great, we pray your travels continue to go well and the dollar allows you to complete all you have planned. later bro.
Thanks Jeremy, I met you at the Nairobi airport when our small group arrived the day election returns were announced in Kenya. We visited with you briefly again as we were going back to the States when Daniel picked you up at the airport after your Mt. Kilimanjaro climb. Thank you so much for your blog about your time at Into Abba's Arms. Because we know the children there and the workers, because we were there at the beginning of the trouble, and because we also scattered parts of our hearts there, your words and photos were especially meaningful. Donna tells me how much you helped. Your presence gave another male role model, another night watchman, and especially a "fun" big brother. I love your descriptions of the games and "moves" that you shared with the children. They need levity so much in the tense times. I am so proud of our kids. Now I can add you to our "kid" list. Enjoy Egypt.
