Why Plant so many Mangroves Well Karen, Mangroves help to prevent global warming, they can protect us from tidal waves and tsunamis by functioning as coastal breakwaters. All the plants form photosynthesis, a system by which plants absorb sun light, carbon dioxide and water to obtain there energy. During this process plants release oxygen in to the atmosphere. Plant usually photosynthesize on there leaves but the great part about Mangroves is that is can photosynthesis using its root and store large amounts of carbon dioxide in to its body. Humans emit large amounts carbon dioxide in our daily lives contributing to green house effect gas and global warming. Mangroves serve as breakwaters preventing soil and sand from sliding into the sea and cause corals to die. Mangroves prevent waves from high tides or tsunamis from surging in to the land. Many living micro organisms in hair around mangroves. These micro organisms consume the fallen leaves of Mangroves. The micro organisms are eaten by crabs and prawns which then are eaten by bigger fish and will be eaten by humans as well. This cycle forms a continuous chain. If the chain breaks, well that's not good for all. I hope this helps.
Hello Craig Hello Craig:
I talked to you earlier this month and helped you to do a claim for your insured.
I work at Cambridge and did check out your blog. This was very, very interesting.
Keep in touch.
Merry Christmas.

Cool Account! Hey Craig,
I live in Bangalore, and I vouch for the accuracy of your account! Nice narrative you have out here, just wait for my detailed comments!! :-)
Glad you are coming home Hey Craig, I've been keeping up with all of your post and fabulous pics. I know that this has been an experience abroad that you will talk about in the years to come. I hope that you have a safe and restful journey back to the Windy city. Did you bring you coat?, I heard that it's very cold there. I'll be in touch. Love you.

Good to hear from Diane Hi Diane !!! good to hear from you and get another voice. I'm glad that I was not there to deal with you in your bad mood. I'm sure most of us take too many things for granted.
Please take a shower before you head back to the states. I look forward to lunch with you and Craig at Ruth Chris, or Maggiano's if you prefer.
Best Wishes for Thanksgiving to both of you.
Mike Brennan.
Re: Naughty Boys Craig, I know how you feel. The whole "affection" thingy is quite mind-boggling. I remember going on holiday with my foreign language class to MERAKESH (I think I'm spelling that right) and thought I was in a "gay mecca" by all of the touchy-feely guys (until I found out what the punishment was for those found to practice homosexuality - I basically strapped my arms to myself and became anti-social most of my time there...lol.)
Thanks for sharing your wonderful observations - can't wait to see you when you return...

Hey Bro Craig, whazz up? Just a few quick lines to say hello. It's Monday morning, need I say more? How are you? Are you having a good time? I sure hope so. I miss you. Been thinking about you a lot. If you get a chance call me. I have a something I'd like to ask your opinion about. I hope you are well & taking care of yourself. I love reading your travel blogs..they are so interesting. Send more pics soon. Love You Bro!!!
Good pictures--Comments Craig thanks for your blogs. You paint pictures with words better than the photos you take (smile). I can't wait until you return so that we can get the full unadulterated version of your experience. Continue to take care of Diane and tell her DON'T PET THOSE DOGS!!!!
hey what ever you do, do not pet those damn dogs!Hey have driver take you to the street markets and try some of the barbeque goat on a stick, fried nuts and corn on the cob. they are great!
starbucks in india In order for Starbucks to survive, they need people who show up every day. That means that they need to have a population that can throw away $4-5 every day. Most Americans cannot do that & are in debt up to their eyeballs because they make many small, stupid financial decisions. In a country where the vast majority subsists on less than $2/day, Starbucks is only something for the wealthy.
cool stuff! It was great chatting with you yesterday on the phone! Your blog is great, and I'm really enjoying the "preview" to what I might expect in January. I can't wait to hear your packing suggestions.
Enjoyed the photos. The comments are vintage Craig. I'm enjoying your observations immensely. I hope that your co-workers will give us a little slack, as we are always tough on the new kids. Please don't let them be turned off. We want to work with them. Please encourage them to call.
Wow!!!!!!!!!! I'm not as taken aback,as I am impressed with the observations and the humanity that is shown. Thank You for the perspective. I've enjoyed reading. Keep it up, I will continue to follow your exploits. I look forward to hearing about more of them at Ruth Chris.
Be Well,
Mike Brennan.
Collard Greens and Hogmaws You have got to figure out a way to do some downhome southern cooking and share it with some of the Indians that work at the hotel. I'm sure that will make your stay a lot more interesting. You'll be hosting Roke in no time at all.
Cell phone and liquor. All the necessities of home.
You Lucky Bastard Sounds like your trip is getting off to a good start. Drinking, eating and somebody to fluff your pillows. Not that India is on my list of places that I am dying to see, it sounds like it is going to be one hell of an experience that you'll be able to talk about for the rest of your life. That's living. French Bougoulais drinking bastard...
Anyway, Charlette and I are glad to hear that you are safe. We hung out at Jack's Bar on Sunday with Shanti. (that's we call the bar in our house) Shanti always brings a Sharazz which is cool for me but Charlette is wondering if it is rude to tell him that she doesn't like Shirazz. I'm leaving for a 5 day college tour on a "luxurious" coach bus. I'm sure the smell will outweigh your issues with the smell of humidity. Halloween was cool. Kazi was an astronaut.
Be cool and safe.
