Miramar Hi Marilyn,
I really enjoyed this blog as Jim and I visited Miramar on a tour trip through OAT. It was one of my favorite trips. We had the best tour guide that we had ever had on any other trip (Min - Min) I loved the pagoda, the other sites and the people. I hope to go back someday and see MinMin as he just got married last year. When I see you later this summer I will show you my pictures from Miramar. I located one of their sand pictures of a little girl with white tree "stuff" on their cheeks! After spotting it when I first arrived I thought to early to buy and then I could not find the same one again. MinMin found it after we left and mailed it to me. The picture is very special. I'll take a picture of it and text to you. Stay safe and healthy. I wish I was there. Love, Pat
Cultural Exchange with People long gone The story of the trip makes me want to go there soon. I didn't know that the Inca were peaceful and had no weapons to resist the Spanish or that you could be made comfortable at high altitudes with coca leaves, Diamox and oxygen. Or that even in rough terrain you could have a room with a fireplace! Marilyn thanks for sharing so much history and useful information
Memorable visit Dear Marilyn,
We stayed at the same hotel in Cusco. I remember walking up hill to the laundry and wondering why I was breathing so hard, until I remembered the altitude. Great place. Thanks for refreshing our wonderful memories. Cheers and Hugs Warren and Judy
Keep 'em coming Dear Marilyn, It's wonderful to receive your blogs to see -- literally -- where you've been recently. Each time it's another part of the world. As my brother Bob would say, you're "out and about"! Keep it up. Cuz'n Peter
Stunning New Zealand Really enjoyed reading your interesting and informative blog Marilyn. I have visited many of the areas you mention and have also gone on the "crazy jet boat ride of a lifetime"! Great pics too.
Hi Cookie! Australia is such a nice place. If not so far from home, we might still be cruising there. Spring has sprung! Cheers and Hugs, Warren and Judy
What an interesting trip Thanjs for sharing Marilyn. Never knew where Merino wool came from. Years ago I learned techniques for teaching reading that were developed by people teaching Maori children to read. Complicated history, the Maori.
Sydney What beautiful photos and a terrific synopsis of the history behind the opera house, etc., Now I am truly sorry I was unable to fly to Sydney for the wedding of my step-son to a Sydney gal!!
I always enjoy these informative blogs. I can't wait to see a presentation of all your photos. Missing you but know you are not missing the Cape with the winter we have put up with. You may see snow when you get back as it is piled high everywhere. Not a fun year....
Love It Hi, Sweetie, Love the photos and wish there were more, my adventurer friend. Keep them coming. You look beautiful!! Wish my mom could see them. Love, Carlynn
Today I'm looking at snowflakes as round as quarters! Thank you for the scenes from Bali and the
