I have finally gotten my pictures from Hong Kong. I thought Hong Kong was great, so big and alot cleaner than dirty ass Taipei. I got there very late on Saturday night so really didn't have time to do much. However I did walk around and take a few pictures of my surroundings. The place was so expensive it was ridiculous, everything was more expensive than Taipei. I stayed in a really crappy hotel room for about 45 USD, it was worth maybe 8USD. Anyway on Sunday I got up relatively early and made my way over to the harbor. The view is amazing, especially at night, to bad none of the pictures I had of it turned out. I went to the art museum which was less than stellar, the contemporary art selection was HAIR. ... read more

This was my second trip to Thailand, therefor I was a little more knowledgable about what to do. Mike and I ended up spending a couple of crazy nights on Koh San Road for about 4 dollars a night, not a bad deal for a cockroach infested room. After taking care of Mike's visa issues, we caught a sleeper train down to Surat Tanni. The train wasn't to bad, but extremely cold, the AC was on a ridiculous level. The train ride was around 14 hours or so. Then we had to catch a ferry to Ko Pha Ngan. We got there about a week before the full moon party was going to kick off. Unfortunatly we didn't make it to the actual full moon, but did catch the parties leading up to it, which I ... read more

Mike and I decided to make a trip out to Fulong beach. Fulong beach is the nicest beach in Northern Taiwan. There are long sandy beaches, and it's not to crowded. The beach is only about an hour from Taipei, so it makes for a nice morning trip. I don't work till 7 on Tuesday, so I think I might make it a point to go every Tuesday. The water is perfect and you might even catch some people surfing. ... read more

So after a short one month stint in South Korea, where Josh and I had the worst job ever. We decided to head back to Taiwan. We were determined to get a decent place to live on our second time around here in Taipei. We ended up finding a place that wasn't to bad, a huge roof...two bedroom apt. The only problem is that there are cockroaches everywhere in Taiwan...they are the size of mice. We are really enjoying ourselves now, we both have good jobs and are sweating it out in the Taipei heat. ... read more

February 3rd 2006

I finally had enough of South Korea, Josh and I took are things and headed for Taiwan. Taiwan is alot different than Korea in every aspect. The food in Taiwan is just horrendous, all of it is grease, however there are some really good vendors around. I really miss Korea food and find myself more often then not getting Korean food. Taiwanese people are so much different than Korean people. They remind me more of western culture, especially the girls. I find people here to be much more liberal than in Korea. Josh and I rolled into Taipei really not knowing shit and with no JOB. We checked into a hostel, which would unfortunatly become our home for the next two months. I met some really cool people there but def don't want to go back. ... read more

So after about 40 boring ass days in Illinois, I came back over to Asia for a second stint. I didn't come alone though. I brought my best friend Josh with me. I can't believe he came out here with me. It should be a blast (and has). We had a one month summer camp job for a ton of cash. The summer camp was great and the mngmnt was better. We really enjoyed ourself. ... read more

So after finishing my one year contract in South Korea, I had a free ticket back to the states so I decided to fly to D.C. and see my good friend lil Shakira. We went to most of the sights, however it was cold as hell. I must say I wasn't really impressed with D.C. I thought the traffic sucked and the night life sucked even more. All I really met were rich Coasties, everybody is either a lawyer or in real estate. I prefer the west coast alot more. I did enjoy seeing my best friend though!!!!!... read more

They don't really celebrate Halloween like they do back home in South Korea. However it was a very fun time for everyone. I kind of dressed up like the invisible man, just something I picked up from walmart. The students were all dressed up and we had a little party at out school. Everybody was dressed up and we had to parade around the town in our outfits. We also handed out candy to everybody we saw on the street. There was a party on the late night at Rocksin which, I think was pretty fun....cant really remember if you know what I mean. ... read more
