The Northwest Hi Guys! Thanks for sharing the additional pics. We especially enjoyed the Mt. Rainier ones. We lived in Bremerton, Washington for a year in 1981 while Gene's Naval ships was in the shipyards for repairs. We were so impressed by the incredible shades of green everything was from all that rain. Also, isn't it amazing how Mt. Rainier sticks up almost out of nowhere and can be seen from so far away? We have great memories of the Northwest U.S. but haven't been back since we moved. You are really motivating us to hit the road! We will miss you at our big b-day bash on 6/30...but....if you put the pedal to the metal and make it back in time, bring your guitar Chuck! Lots of musicians attending from all different bands...should be a great jam session! Regardless of when you get home, drive safe, and we'll look forward to seeing you again! Cheers!
Oregon Wondrful to hear from you as always. I'm glad to hear that Oregon is worth the trip. My best friend, Janet's daughter and husband are attorneys in Portland and she has said that it really is a different mind set out there. The only problem being the rain. Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures in person. Have a safe trip home!
Happy Birthday tomorrow , bro We are enjoying your blogs-----know you are having a fabulous time. Looks and sounds beautiful. Hugs and kisses for Shawn, Kelly , and Grace. We leave for Alaska Wednesday--------I am praying that I don't fall out of the kayak and get eaten by a bear-------------eeekkkk!! Love you--Diane
Your pictures are absolutely wonderful. I have a niece that lived in Coos Bay for a year or so but they couldn't take it and went back to Atlanta. I spent about 10 days out there once and loved it. We stayed in Newport and day-tripped all over the state. What a great time, waking up to the sound of fog horns, picking frest black berries and blue berries on the side of the roads, enjoying the wine and cheese lunches in the parks and of course the endless supply of fresh oysters and salmon. Enjoy... Dave and Pam
Oregon Coast Hope I have figured out how to add a comment. We really enjoy getting your updates. So glad Kelly, Sean and Grace made it out safely. Looks like beautiful country. Know that you are having a wonderful time.

Hey Chuck and Patty. Great pics as usual. I've saved some of them so now I can save all that money for a trip out there!! Some of that cool wx would be nice here. I been lucky enough to have seen both those parks and I know how much you liked them. The absolute most stars I've ever seen was in Yosemite at night. That camp site is to die for. Good to hear from you and safe travels.

Wow what a great adventure and the photos are terrific. I would particularly like hiking Wall Street some day and the bike ride in Zion would be very neat. I'll see Richard at Doubles tonight and I'll make sure he remembers to check your pics. Wish I had bought some Exxon stock before you left!! Oh, well, I need that money to keep my tank filled anyway. Have fun and stay safe...... Dave and Pam
The pictures are beautiful. It's hard to believe you two are really out west right now. I'm so happy for you guys!! Be safe and check in with us soon. Oh how I feel the parenting role reversal...call and check in, don't stay out too late and watch out for strangers!! ha ha! Love you!
Get back to work! Enough! We are so envious. The closest we get to this kind of scenery is HDTV. Have truly enjoyed hearing about your adventures, and seeing the photos. I'll bet it'll be tough getting back to the routine.
WOW! Really have enjoyed following your travels....some of the best photos I've ever seen....you have really been exploring God's country at it's best! Patty Murray and I bought kayaks and have enjoyed some very serene mornings on our little lake minus the snow capped mountains. We enjoyed having Kelly and Sean over for Memorial Day. Come back safe....keep the bear repellent handy!
WOW Kelly sent me your travel blog, the pictures are amazing!! It looks like you guys are having a great time, and what a cool website, I didn't know about it! Glad you are on my side of the country! You should try Oregon!

Home on the range Chuck and Patty,
What a cool trip! I hope you're taking lots of video. I also expect a cowboy song CD to be recorded when you get back. I love to flyfish, hope you catch a big one! BIG k.
I love how mom is wearing an SNL hat in the picture. Gotta keep the city girl alive in her! Love the pictures as usual, looks like a fabulous postcard!
I'm not all that familiar with Utah. So, like, which one of these places is the nail salon? And where in heaven's name is the gift shop???
Wow, it is really beautiful. Enjoy it! We're enjoying your photos and the journal.
The pictures are beautiful! I can't believe the rafting that you all did!! You two better come back in one piece!! Miss you, love you! Sending out save-the -dates at the end of this month, wish there was a way to send you one!! Take care of each other out there!!
