Nice...so nice.

commentary
Chris, you know me too well. I couldn't even get through that sentence about you being a New Yorker before the comments were rolling off my tongue. And then in the next sentence I get reprimanded...again. I'm in Dallas on a layover. Wish you were here to eat pecan pralines with me. You'd appreciate them. But then, if you were here the non-sharing five year old in me would return. Enjoying the blogs. (Obviously I need to catch up on them.) Rob

A treat to read every day!
Chris and Jerry - Thank you for sharing your adventures. I look forward to your entry daily and have sent it on to many others....Chris, your writing is entertaining and descriptive enough for that mental image - not to mention your sense of humor! Safe travels and stay healthy (am happy to hear the French drugs helped, Jerry)!

Hi guys! I\'m really - I mean REALLY - enjoying your blog. You write wonderfully Chris! I have a few client issues though: ... just kidding. Travel safe, cook well and keep writing. BTW, I told Scott that I\'ve never seen Chris so happy as he looks in the pic on the previous blog. Paris suits you. Love ya, Michael

Seasoned tourist
yes, that's how you feel, like you been there, done that. Great flics of beautiful food. Give us a pic of Jer eating, please. Know he probably doesn't like this but just this once?? Carry on. Have the best time ever!!

Fattening
I think I gained 4 pounds and two inches around my waist just reading about all the butter in those croissants. Sounds like a lot of work, but if I'm invited for breakfast...;)

Is that an electirc stove?
Are you cooking on an electric stove? I just moved into an apartment with an electric range after cooking on a gas range for over 30 years and I'm terrified. If you can prepare gourmet meals with an electric range I'll stop whining. Your diary is fabulous - I really enjoyed Jerry's trip to the museum. Live, love and enjoy, nb

I'm enjoying your blog... I think your "random thoughts" section quite interesting. Always like to hear how people react to a new experience, and as I'm just an armchair traveller right now, reading blogs gives me a taste of the world... so don't stop blogging!

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often. Alena Low Platelets Treatment

Delighted to see you'll have too for me in your new home. You won't even hear me snore.

Quite possibly the best thing about being American is the bountiful water pressure in our wonderful American showers. I have fond memories of pastries in Pau. PLEASE bring me the egg cooker. Please, please, please!

color
Pssst, Jerry. Orange is my favorite color, €150 IS too much for lunch, and I guess we'll never know if $800 is excessive for a Russian hooker (and caviar).

comments, well...
You know I have almost as many opinions as you do. Do you want to open the floodgate? ahh, leisurely lunches. Why ate we Americans so rushed about everything? Can one ever tire of leisurely lunches w/ friends? (Books being some of the best friends ever.) I'm done with school and it feels like I have so much time on my hands. Time is such a luxury and as you suggest, better than any material possession. Time, friends and good food (wines a food group, right?) if we've got those then life has to be ok. Living vicariously, Rob

Cool summary
Hi Chris - here in the US I have been too busy working and mothering to make a comment;-). I love this though! Really hits home and mirrors my experience and appreciation of the European culture!

Great Voice
Chris- This entry was awesome! I could hear you speaking the words to me because your writing voice is so strong. Maybe you were the one who was supposed to publish the great American novel... Thanks for sharing this trip. It's probably nearly as good as being there (except I won't get any custom made clothes out of the deal!) Have fun! Your Little Sis
