Spent US$340 to do the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater option for the past 3 days.. I must say the experience have been great.. Worth or not worth the money? I'd say game parks are expensive in East Africa.. so if you want to experience it.. you have to pay for it.. didn't really think about the question of worth or not worth [View Full Entry]

Decided not to go Malindi after Mombasa.. cos they say is it's really touristy.. and i just want to relax and do nothing in lamu.. and Lamu is only 6hrs from Mombasa if you take the Tawakal mini bus.. 2hrs to Malindi.. and another 4 to Lamu.. 600ksh (67ksh=1USD)... actually the bus stops at Meroke(merowe?) and you take a boat to Lamu island.. 50ksh normal boat, 100ksh speed boat.. throughout the journey.. WOohoo! I've made it to Nairobi in one piece! No bandits.. no robbery.. just some abrasions and scratches.. and my neck and back is sore.. more on these later.. the Moyale - Nairobi leg is one of the toughest leg of travelling.. i enjoyed it tho.. but probably won't do it again.. haha.. Crossing the border Crossing the border from the Ethiopian side was hassle-free.. you just have to figure which building is the passport office and which building is the customs.. and which order you have to go to them.. After finishing with the formalities on the Ethio side.. [View Full Entry]
