I've decided to join this through persuasion of one of my friends! Also, last year during my summer break from Uni, I had spent roughly two months away first in Shanghai, China. Then Los Angeles and Las Vegas, in the States. And Finally, traveling all around Mexico before and after, my volunteer program in which I was selected to participate (through the Uni) in Puebla, Mexico, for 4 weeks, working with Children at an orphanage. Because of this experience I feel ready now to embark on some more adventure!
25/6/08 to 5/08/08 I will be studying in Argentina and hopefully I will be traveling around the country and also, visiting Chile and Uruguay depending on the situation!
For now it is EXAM time!!!!!
3/12/08- Will be off first returning to Buenos Aires and then travelling around South America this time covering Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay....If we have time hopefully Ecuador as well!!!

Man who would have guessed like always going from Australia to the Americas! It´s a bit like groundhog day! Meaning we left on a Wednesday at midday and got there around 11am the same day(technically earlier)! Yeah, man after doing some exchange and finding out BA isn´t as cheap now as before...off we went on a taxi straight to the city central....This time I´m staying in a hostel with the group near the city and it´s so funny i felt ... read more
1/8/2008 Today I woke up realising that all good things have to come to an end. In my case I am talking about leaving South America! Yeah, it was a bit disappointing to not have travelled to my ideal destination Rosario, due to the fact that our landlord was coming around the usual “sometime” during the day sort of thing, as a result I couldn’t really leave the place, as my other housemates were in another country(Uruguay!!!). So I ended up spending the morning watching and catching up with all my football(soccer) gossip and friendly matches…BOY! Let me tell you how obsessed and how much I am gonna miss this place. They have like 5 sports channels, at least 3 play soccer non-stop, Yeah im talking about 24-7! So when finally, our landlord came and I ... read more
Today waking up and trying to convince myself I needed to get up before dawn to get on a megabus…boy was it hard to do here in Buenos Aires, this place has a night life that literally starts when Sydney Sleeps hard into the night…so waking up early is near zero…But anyways, after making the mountainous effort I finally woke up and decided to walk to Retiro bus terminal and got me a megabus to La Plata!!! La Plata, is kind of like the Canberra of Argentina, even tho Buenos Aires is the Capital…but nevertheless La Plata is where all the jurisdictional buildings and legal places are…So finally getting there…I was kind of shocked to discover I didn’t have that good of a map to begin with and to make things worse…the tour guide and info ... read more
Finally with my studies all over and done it was time to travel for my remaining days here in South America…If you asked me now, I would tell you rite now im at a stage where I feel like this is my place and I actually feel like I live here and in a way im sort of really sad to be leaving very soon….i mean literally I know the streets of Buenos Aires inside out now..know the customs and at times even began using the slang here when getting around so travellin to other places didn’t seem that daunting anymore… Becuz I was also at a stage where my budget is goin to break any min now…I decided to go and visit Tigre and the Delta area and San Isidro the cheap way and Im ... read more
