Last Blog, We arrived in San Francisico on Wednesday the 9th in the evening after a great flight from Fiji, then a connecting flight from L.A. The first few days were spent taking in the city getting rid of jet lag and getting some good American tucker in side of us! This place is a far cry from our Fiji experience, but the city is a nice place with plenty to do, we were both pleasanly surprised. Friday the 11th was my (25th) birthday, so we found plenty of shops to do some present shopping in. The weather by now has got freezing and still is. Or feels freezing compared to what we have been used to. We planned a fun day for my birthday cycling over the golden gate bridge, this was abandoned because ... read more

Bula! Short delay in writing this as we have been on Fiji time and have had a lack of electricity. Practically no contact with the outside world. It has been brilliant. We arrived on the 27th of April fairly late in the afternoon. We were greeted by our fantastic host Mama. She turned out to be a legend... She had us all organised and leaving on the first ferry on the 28th! She organised three separate islands for us to visit and all the transfers. We sat back and relaxed! Our first resort was Walu Beach, a luxury resort right on the beach, with fantastic food. This three days was spent relaxing, the resort also became "Team Zephyr's" Training Camp. We had a lot of fun here, with our first experience of Kava, its suppose ... read more

Another week has passed and time for another blog!! Its going so fast now. Only three weeks left!! AH, then what are we going to do? We took the ferry from Picton to Wellington in the North Island to begin our trip back to Auckland. From Wellington we headed north to get a few hours of driving done before our stop at Levin. Up early the next day we had a lot of driving to do to get to New Plymouth, On the way we had a couple of very important stops...... Firstly the Rugby Museaum in Parmerston North, we were expecting good things here being the national game and all that, It was intresting!! Not quite what what we expected, a couple of small smelly rooms with tons of very old rugby memrobilia. We ... read more

Hi All, What an amazing country, we are having a ball... We picked up our campervan about two weeks ago to start exploring the South Island a bit further. It has been the best thing we ever did. It is an EZY camper, which for me sums the whole experience up. Our first stop was Akoroa and Banks Peninsula, this was a great place to start- pretty, peaceful and friendly. The town had a slight french feel to it (bloody french!! get everywhere), the walks around the town kept us amused and it was great to see some boats! Wonder if the owners would notice if we took them for a quick spin. Our drives are sometimes long, but we always fill them with fun stops. On the second day we found a massive Cookie ... read more

Kia Ora, Welcome to the south Island Edition!! The Journey from Wellington took us across the 'Cook Straight' to Picton. Here we got our first glimpse of the South Island an amzaing sight of mountains and remote countryside. This was the first of an amazing 9 days in the South Island. From the ferry we drove to Nelson to our wicked accomodation near the beach on the north of the Island. We had lots of activities to choose from here one one of which was Skydiving!!! There was only one brave volunteer for this activity, yes the girl rules. (Ok maybe I am just the stupid one.) I wanted to do it, but knew I would be really nervous. It was a perfect day- clear blue sky- the best conditions for a bit of jumping ... read more

We arrived in Auckland on thursday the 15th, with a couple of days here until we started our tour. We joined our tour on the Saturday, we met all of our freinds for the next 15 days all seemed nice so we were off to a good start. From Auckland we headed North out of the City ... read more

Hi All, We arrived in Melbourne a few days ago to be greeted with lots of art sculptures. It is certainly a cultural city, its a lot different from what we have seen already. Bizarre that we are in the same country.... City exploring was great, we spent the afternoon at the Melbourne Museum, this I am sure was mostly for kids, Simon and I felt right at home, and amused ourselves for hours. We booked our Neighbours night with a lady who looked familar, we couldn't quite put our finger on it until she said "face...bothered" Ah, Catherine Tate herself. We were quite scared by her as you can imagine... The Neighbours Trivia night was fantastic. Lots of screaming fans ready to meet Harold Bishop (Jelly Belly), Toady, and Pepper (Don't know if you guys ... read more

Following our hippy time in Byron we travelled 7 hours on the bus to Port Macquaire. This was a two day stop to break up the long coach trip from Byron to Sydney. We had a couple of chilled days here, but it turned out to be quite a nice quiet stop. It was helped by the very friendly Ozzie Pozzie backpackers. We hired our very dodgy bikes from the hostel, only half a brake between them, no gears, and mine kept sqeaking randomly at people. What do you expect for 5 bucks. (About Two pound for you Pommes) We cycled around all the wicked creaks and beaches, we also had to stop off at the Putt Putt crazy golf for obvious reasons... Well the story goes like this.. 27 holes by half way I was ... read more

Hi all, Well we woke on Thursday morning, feeling a bit down, until we looked out the window to find this yellow blob radiating a lot of light and heat! Yippee. We wasted no time at all to get down to the Lagoon for our first swim in Airlie Beach. The following day (again sunny) we were to meet our boat Anaconda 3, for a three day tour around the Whitsundays. We left the dock with champagne in hand, excited about the prospect of the next few days! We saw some great spots, glorous Whitehaven Beach (It was pretty quiet and secluded which made it all the better) We saw luncheon bay where we did our first dive on the Whitsunday stretch. The snorkelling here was great, the fish all within touching distance. The highlight of ... read more
