Have you considered.....
Have you considered that the reason the state parks are so nice is exactly because there are no "hook ups" ? I'm glad to hear it, I'll be going myself soon. Your blog sort of inspired it, so thanks. :)

As a North Dakotan, glad to see you've been exploring North Dakota! Hope you were able to take the 1806 south out of Williston a little...the drive is very pretty.

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Barn swallows
I have lots of barn swallows - come see, they are a delight as they swoop around your head! Hey, I didn't know you were going to Minnesota - The land of the norse men and women. Bet there are two pages of Larsens in the phone book.

barn swallows
Never knew barn swallows grouped their nests like that. I've seen 3 or 4 together, but never that many!

USA
The scenery may not be as elaborate, but I bet there is a feeling of security being in the US. Especially, after Bob went missing for a short time while touring the ruins. Pictures were amazing.

"The ruins of Central America and SA"
Aren't the Mayan ruins something to see. It always amazes me how the Mayans of Central American and the Shaman of the Inca Empire of SA could build such massive structures with primitive tools, and many just for ceremonies or to honor their emperor or God, rather than to live in. It is really mind boggling. We thought the Museum of Anthropology was interesting.

Maya ruins
We weren't at Elk Balaam but we did see many Maya Ruins in various other places, similar to what you saw there. They are imipressive. We even got to see one being escavated. That was interesting.

Cancun
When we traveled Central America, we started in Cancun. We thought Mexico was Ok but our favorite countries were Belize and Guatamala. As you travel we will compare the placees you went to where we went and what you did. By the way, do you or do we change our email address for you to continue sending blogs? I just realized that the blogs are coming to the arm-tek.net email. I will be dropping this email this week. I have been using joyceappel@windstream.net and only kept the old one until after this year's Extravaganza. I looked at the links and saw where you can unsubscribe but can't find the link to be added to your blog email so I can put in the newest email I am using. joyce PS Had about 200 people at the Extrav. this year.

Long time no hear
Hello you two. Haven't been getting notification of your blog entries in the last several months......so I decided to try to track you down. I see you are enjoying DC. Some of the "southern AGR" folk were wondering where you are. We got together for the 4th AGR South Reunion in February and missed you both! Have written to the email address, but no response, is it no longer a valid address? Take care and keep on having fun. Gerry

Hi Ed, Thanks for your email. Yes we did find Billy's name on the wall. I remember his funeral, it was so sad. Didn;t know about the Garden State Parkway Memorial. Hope you and Dianne are well. Heard from Mildred "Maltz", she celebrated his 79th birthday this month. Time moves on..... Maureen

Hi Kathy, Thanks for the email. Yes we found Billy's name. So many young lives ended. I remember his funeral and his young wife, it was sad. On the way home we actually hit some bad weather, snow, ice yucky stuff. We were glad to get home safely. Say hello to everyone Aunt Maureen

Bill White
Maureen and Bob, you have to ask for William G White, Union City NJ. He is also on the NJ memorial on the Garden State Parkway. Have a great trip. We have been saying the same thing about the war. Notice none of the inner circle have children over there. Peace Ed

Whale watching safety
I saw a video on the news last night about a whale attack on boats in the waters near Japan. I wondered whether mother whales would be more protective of their young in the waters where you were. What an experience!
