Cindy Oas
Hi Scott and Sharon, Just checking in with y'all to see how the travels are. The pictures of the Tiger Temple looks really cool. Hope you are having a great time in Africa (if you are still in Africa). Things are going great in SB. The fire is contained and the weather is great and the kids are back in school (hurray!!).

Christine O'Gorman
Hi Sharon, My previous message didn't seem to go through, so I'll try again. It's so good to hear from you! Your travels look amazing! I think you made the right choice. While you've been on the sunbathing/snorkeling pattern, I've been doing the prepping classroom/meeting routine. As much as I enjoy this class and teaching, the snorkeling sounds unbeatable. Take care, Christine P.S. They made some class rearrangements this year so these are your cherubs that I have: Vladimir, Ryan, Yvette, and Marc. (small class...only 16 students)

Good work on all the blogs - you've done 1000s already!! I know it can be a royal pain in the butt, but it's so worth while when you are back home and totally skint! Take care

Hi Kathleen, Thanks for keeping the kids updated on the travels. It's nice to know they still remember their old forst grade teacher!

Nice tent!
Your tent looks as good (or as bad) as the hut we stayed in on Perhentian Islands but at least we didn't have big cats roaming around.

You've changed!
hi you two, Hell's Gate Gorge looks an interesting place, but Sharon, I can't believe you took delight in watching the hyenas killing those poor flamingos!! Yeah yeah, I know it's the survival of the fittest.

Bummer!
August is definitely not the month for underwater cameras. Our's meet a painful death when Paul accidently dropped our beach bag over the side of a cliff. We spent ages trying to find our camera case - the strap had caught on a tree, and the camera was dangling above our heads. It looked totally fine, but on closer inspection was totally buggered. Luckily it happened on our second to last day, although I'm not sure our insurance company will buy the fact that it broke on practically the last day of a six month trip!

The class (especially your former students) LOVED seeing you with the tigers. We had a sentence about tigers and it fit right in! It sounds like you're having a wonderful trip! Take care, Kathleen and students

Coming!
Just like the answer to everything in Malaysia, the answer to your question about Scott is "coming". He had to work longer, so I came out a few weeks early to meet my parents who just happened to be in Malaysia. I am heading to Nairobi, Kenya on Sept 9th to meet Scott. Keep us updated on your travel plans for Thailand. Maybe we could all do the Similan trip....
