Can't quite believe it! Oh Beth didn't know you cared so much for your old Mum. Couldn't you go to see Ems mum with out becoming homesick!Nice to think you are missing home just a tiny bit!!
Cold Chilly Chile Never thought that it would be that cold--is it their winter period or is it because you are so far South, next stop South Pole---too warm up inside you need warm liquid or spirits (dont mean the ghost type) best to stick with hot drinks. It will also seem far colder because you have spent the last few months in warm climates. It's very cold back here, I think the summer came in April and went in May. I'm sure things will pick up , Take care and good luck
Goodbye Australasia OFF to continents new--this should also help to broaden your experience, I guess S.America at present is the least visited continent so still a great deal to be explored--take care
The capital and around see you back on the Goona---not for long now--guess you have been impressed withsome of the sights so far--more to follow I'm sure
neighbours Hi there sorry about my hapazard comments and being so behind with them. Received your lovely postcards - many thanks. Now about this neighbours programme (which by the way I never watch) I would think that you were over talented to be on the show don't you think? Shame you didn't win the quiz but sounded an interesting evening.
Goon I guess you will have to find a substitute product in S.America, it won't be hard for you two with your tasting skills. Take care over there but have fun and enjoy
Another continent It looks like you have done most of Australasia--and according to the news its all still in one piece--now lets do S.America---take a lot of care there, watch what you carry about with you, and if mugged (heaven forbid) hand what ever over to avoid trouble--most likely no probs but you never know GOOD LUCK
Sydney Its nice to read about the places you went to---we did some of the same things when there---BUT--with a lower alcohol intake. Have fun in S. America -keep packing
Booze a go go! O believe me mr white whale - there was plenty of booze at the neighbours night!!!! Its the old saying - what happens on the neighbours night, stays on the neighbours night!!!
Booze ? There appears to be very little research /tasting on the alchol front in this news update---guess to much going on in TV land what with all these celebs. etc sounds good fun mixing with the film world.
next door people Seems you met a good number of tele soap stars, did you want to join in the next episode ? Maybe not-must move on , lots to do. All sounds very good, I will try and watch the show with interesr now ( ???) well maybe
No audition the! Oh Beth, You know you need a job. Didn't you get auditioned for a part in neighbours. Dad would have been so proud of you. Never mind the Law get back and get onto neighbours and make your Dad's day. OK so I'm only joking. Love you XX
neighbours souvenirs the gift shop was rubbish! Gave them a few suggestions though and have copyrighted all my ideas so i will get an eventual share of profits - that LPC came in useful after all!
Oh yes You know that I'm addicted to this prog. I told she who must be obeyed how good your visit to the Street sounded, I was told it was my own fault, I had the chance but was too stubbon and said no I didn't want to go. Never mind you went by "proxy"---did you get any souv's from there ?
British children This I find rather styrange, that Brit Kids appear to be better behaved than our down under cousins, well its good to know that maybe the future might not be so bad after all---------think you should have put on a stiff upper lip and told the yound blighters what for ( only joking ) Pleased that you saw some of my under water relations !!!!!!!!
Look forward to your next adventure
Harbour view You do not seem to comment much on the largest city in aussie--how long did you spend there, what did you visit apart from the harbour and aqua museum ?
Plat--puses Well you lucky thing good to see you are interested in the natural wild life (NO--not the guys you have mentioned) I'm sure that these are memories that you will treasure for ever. Hope you have the back up photo's (proof) so you can show all on your return
Skydive Wowee - great pictures - well done you. What is it with the Haycocks - have they all gone mad wanting to skydive and I always thought they were normal (well almost). Mother numner 1 is practising (albeit having one leg in a splint) with a view to booking her flight soon.
The views must have been amazing. Will tell James of your feat.
I did notice that there was no mention of goon in this blog report!!
The smoke trail Shame you didn't get to do your skydive at the first attempt. I like the idea of the teepee but strange to find one in Australia. Glad you made it safely back on the happy bus - weird or what? Another toilet for your collection!!!
The Band The Lapal Band is now coming along nicely and with the addition of the didgeridoo (long awaited by our expert didgeridoo player) we are almost ready for our first concert which hopefully will be outside number 13 who no doubt will be giving her opinion in a most neighbourly way as always.
tv fame I knew you would make it into the big time one day but not by wearing a plastic bag on your head - almost as bad as a rain hat. I hope the viewers do not think your attire was indicative of what the cool english woman is wearing. Better luck next time. Could be a new programme in the making - "Carry on Betty". Love MN2
Fraser I've a little catching up to do daughter dear as have been unable to comment for a week or so for reasons I won't go into. However all now sorted. Fantastic reading about Fraser Island, real advertures you are both having. When you get to the city you will be like Crocodile Dundee having lost all your social skills!! Thanks for our lovely postcards - keep them coming. All love
Its a mad mad world It appears reading the comments on this blog that you have gained one convert for a future sky adventure. Please remember that the great creator would have given us wings if we had meant to fly. Never mind enjoy.
