Sling Saving the sling for when we go back to Singapore in March - as we fly to Bali from there. Not having it in Raffles though - opposite Raffles is a very tall building apparently the view from the bar at the top is meant to be amazing - so i will smaple the delights of a sling from there (they're cheaper up there as well!)
Tee Hee!! Now that tranvestite makes the mind boggle!! You sound like you are havin so much fun........... Cant wait to keep reading. I didnt realise that you had written so much on here - am going to be here for hours!!!
Cant wait to see the pics!
Have fun! Have fun diving. Make the most of everthing because when you return home the hard work starts!!Wish Michelle a very happy birthday from us. Have been having a quiet moment without Dad reading your journal, sounds wonderful. Have fun lots of love xxxx
To my trailblazer Saw bollywood and red carpet andthought this is it - she's in. But no thwarted by a murder. We have had a wonderful time reading about India and wish you well in Singapore. Raffles here you come.
To my trailblazer Now I know from whom you learnt to spell if indeed hair restorer is your named father (he's rubbish as well)!! Just curious as to why that particular head massage he gave you was one for people with mental illnesses - you seemed ok when you left this Country.
To my trailblazer Funny thing you having to wait an hour for food as that is exactly what happened to us last week at the Bangla - so had to have a take away! Put on a double dose of factor 50.
To my trailblazer I was almost mortified thinking you had not received any of my comments but the mention of my name (albeit in the latter part of your list) has redeemed you my girl!! We are all keeping well and have been out partying on several evenings with your immediate parents, you know the type of thing a few local clubs and the local scene (akas Bangla, Shenstone Club etc). Also we have joined the local cinema club which meets once a month on a Friday - the films so far have been completely rubbish so we almost can't wait for next month's offering!! Please wash your feet before you return and improve on that sun tan.
Oh for a "Gin Sling" Trust you enjoyed Raffles--you dodn't say if you had a "Sling" , what do you think of S/pore--very clean and feels very safe with friendly people ?
ps still not had notification from my Blog registration that you are still sending these intellectual "Letters from the East"
Keep'm coming
Destination Goa Michelles travelling companian seeemed a good sort! Yep thats certainly somewhat hotter than here - but we had snow so there. Glad to hear you have met some real friendly people and the free meals, well, just fantistic. Hope sunburn is getting better.
jaipur To my dear trailblazer: Busy time in Jaipur it seems. Good job the rickshaw made it to the top - for a dreadful moment then I thought good god they didn't have to walk up did they!!! On your return you can join our newly formed musical group - we have space for a sitar player and have booked you in for some quick lessons ok? (mmm wonder what the next musical instrument will be). The secret garden sounds interesting as did the factory visit. So thats what happened to all those old sewing machines then. All love xxxxx
because your typing is o so good!!
And for the record the keyboards were crap - most of the keys were stiff or buttons didn't work and alot i came across had bits of paper stuck to them with the letters written on!
To my Trailblazer Just caught up with the journel. Glad to know that the French came to the rescue (hey shouldn't this be the other way round, as is usual!!). All these silk scarves you have sound fabulous (I think I have a birthday in May but I don't mind waiting until July)?!
That camel story sounds almost believable as the story of the Zonky we met in Mexico. The owner wouldn't let us get too close to the poor donkey who had zebra strips painted onto him turning him into a ZONKY.
Glad you finally made it to some good hotels after experiencing the worst but hey what character building and jolly good for life experience!! (Just so glad we are living in our 5* surburban dwellings with indoor toilets)!
Arthur has now become an avid reader of your blog also and sends his best black country wishes - "stay safe our kid and have a bostin time".
No time to arrange a wedding for next March so forget it.
Looking forward to next instalments and hope you meet some more good friends on route.
All love xxx
Chai Chai is chai - although you can get earl grey over here but thats cheating! Michelle had a bit of a dodgy cup of tea the other night - it was meant to be tea bag tea but we're not quite sure from where it came!
To my trail blazer What wonderful reading. I really feel I have been to Delhi and the places you visited - no need for me to go then!! Excitement or what. You will now be eligable to barter in Sainsburys on your next visit after all your experiences. I expect Michelle is perhaps hoping to meet someone perhaps with two or three shops - can't say I blame her!
Just knew your journal would make great reading and am working on a publisher who may be interested. Take all care and enjoy your travels.
