Airlie Beach Tuesday 12th of January we arrived in Airlie beach, we stayed at beachs hostel for 2 nights, spent 2nights on the whitsunday cruise and spent another 2nights in airlie beach. I loved Airlie beach, it had a good atmosphere! It wasnt very big, but it had the essentials, a HUGE lagoon, newsagent, hostels, bars, and mama africas (night club). The lagoon was so big and clean, and the sea was just beside the lagoon, i loved it there! We met loads of people here before and while on the cruise! Whitsundays cruise On the Thursday we went to meet the famous atlantic clipper sailing boat, everyone who I spoke to said we should go on this boat, its a two night and three day trip. It was brilliant!!! Out of the 74 islands, we saw ... read more

Hello everyone, just filling you in on whats going on. At the minute we're traveling down in the east coast of australia! Cairns! On Tuesday the 5th of January we flew drom sydney to cairns. It was a long trip! We flew to brisbane than waited 3hours then flew to cairns. We got to the famous 'gilligans' hostel just after midnight. This hostel was crazy! Theres a big nightclub downstairs, so we were advised to get a room high up, we were on the 4th floor, music wasnt to bad, the rooms were very big, spacious and clean so we were happy!! The club down stairs was brilliant, they also had a lovely pool!! SO we just chilled out at the pool alot and drank at night! We also went to the woolshed, we were told its ... read more

We made it to Perth!!! Myself and ste arrived in sunny Australia on the 2nd of December ’09. We got off the plane and it suddenly struck me, I couldn’t believe we were finally in Australia, so FAR away from home!!! Orla and Todd (Orla is ste’s cousin and Todd is her husband) collected us from the airport, we chatted to them for a while and went to bed cause it was a late flight, so when we did wake up the next morning, it was a great feeling to be in Australia! We went for a walk and got our bearings, well ste did i followed him, his sense of direction is un-natural! My first impressions was everything was so big, the roads, the paths, the houses! Everything is big and spacious! Its like theres ... read more

Well hello, im back on track!! Ill quickly update you on our last week in Thailand. After Koh Phangan we headed to Koh Tao, its a small island north of koh phangan. Koh Tao is famous for scubadiving and beautiful coral. It had a small town and lots of blue water surrounding it!! We stayed here for three days. One of the days we went on a day trip snorkling, it was brilliant!!! The man in charge was telling us our first stop was at shark island and we would see big shark, of course i didnt play attention to him because i was sure we wernt gona see sharks!!! So next thing me and ste are snorkling and we saw 4big huge sharks, two swam under us then met another two ahead of us, oh ... read more

Hello everyone, we're back! I'll update you on koh phangan. This was our favourite place!! We got the boat from koh samui to koh phangan midday, the morning boat was cancelled and there was a reason for this! the weather was really bad and sea was very rough, you know its bad when we can see the rough sea from the shore! The 45minute boat ride was a nightmare. i was sure we were gona end up at the bottom of the sea. The only thing that slightly comforted me was that i had been scubadiving and I saw the bottom of the sea so I knew what was down there! The crew gave out sick bags and I made good use of them! It was the worse boat ride of my life, even ste will ... read more

We boarded the plane for a 40minute flight from railay to koh samui, we took off, got some lunch and landed, ha!! We stayed in koh samui for 3nights from the 19th to 21st, and stayed in a lovely guesthouse house called "penzys guesthouse", she is an asia woman and so so nice! She gave us her mobile numer on arrival encase we needed anything during our stay. koh samui was just nice, there was loads of shops and people tryin to drag you in every few seconds! But then we found a gorgeous beach, where the sand is like flour! We spent the first day relaxing on the beach listening to the waves. The second day we booked a jungle safari tour! This was a brilliant day. We were collected in a safari jeef and ... read more

Hello!!! Sorry about the really long delay, we didnt have the internet for a while!!But we're back in action. Railay is located just beside krabi, we heard it was a nice relaxed town so decided to see for ourselves! It started on the 17th of November we got the boat to railay from phi phi island. The boat was terrible as we were traveling through a storm!! ive never seen rain like it and just our luck we were in the middle of the sea (I didnt realise at the time it wasnt the worse boat trip id experience!). So when we arrived we went out to the deck to get our rucksacks which they all bundle on top of eachother, then we moved to a small wooden (long tail) boat. This was all in the ... read more

Asia » Thailand » South-West Thailand » Phuket November 8th 2009

Well hello there. This is actually Stephen doing this entry so it should be way better than Auds one. Well after our Bangkok time we had a choice to make on whether to take an hour flight from Bangkok to Phuket or whether to take the overnight train and then a 6 hour bus journey. Any guesses on which route we took? !!!!!!. Off the plane and then a limo taxi (they were the only ones you could get) down to Patong Beach where our hotel / hostel was. Bit dodgy to find even for the limo driver but got here and an English lad owns it so he was sound and the place is spotless and nice and central but at the same time no crazy noise or mad shit. We arrived on Fri night ... read more

Hi everyone, for anyone who's interested we arrived safe and sound!! We are in Bangkok, its very wierd!! Flight was LONG, but had a choice of over 30 films and programs on our private screens so wasnt to bad, also slept alot of the way. we landed and jumped in a taxi, two and a half hours later we arrived at our hotel, its not that the hotel was far we were sittin in the worse traffic jam ever, which apparently happens everyday!! anyway it cost us 10euro, ha imagine that!! So we got dinner and slept so well untill 3 in the morning!!! Finding it hard to beat this jet lag, seems to be getting the better of us! SO today we had a look around Kon Soan Road, which is mad! at first impressions ... read more
