Hi everyone, for anyone who's interested we arrived safe and sound!! We are in Bangkok, its very wierd!! Flight was LONG, but had a choice of over 30 films and programs on our private screens so wasnt to bad, also slept alot of the way. we landed and jumped in a taxi, two and a half hours later we arrived at our hotel, its not that the hotel was far we were sittin in the worse traffic jam ever, which apparently happens everyday!! anyway it cost us 10euro, ha imagine that!! So we got dinner and slept so well untill 3 in the morning!!! Finding it hard to beat this jet lag, seems to be getting the better of us!
SO today we had a look around Kon Soan Road, which is mad! at first impressions seems liek everyone wants to scam the tourists, but as the day went on it was grand, you just have to have your head on your shoulders...which ste does ha!! So we got a boat to the grand palace, were they made me wear a terrible skirt and long sleve top, like the cheek of them!!! Anyway time is gona run out, so for
now, good night from auds and ste xxx
....Hi everyone, thanks for all your messages, now that i know your out there ill continue on were i left off....!! By the way the hotel in Bangkok was gorgeous, we booked a night there for when we arrive back up to bangkok! So i was talking about the grand palace, yes they made me cover up (Emily they were jelous of my legs for your information), but i didnt look half as bad as ste who had to buy linen-cardboard-like trousars off a stall cause he couldnt show his hairy legs ethier!! The place was amazing, but between the heat and jet lag its all like a dream!
Yesterday then we got up early and went to the floating market, this was brilliant! all the stalls are on boats or at the edges of the canal, you get in a long boat and the locals paddle the boat around all the stalls, its brilliant! of course they all sell the same crap, but it was something you dont do everyday. we even bought spring rolls of one boat in the middle of the canal!! Its like a little community
people live there too. So that was a half day tour we booked with the hotel, but nothing is straight forward in bangkok! on the way back to the hotel we stopped at a snake farm, we paid in to see a show, which was good (you'll see the pictures), but if you didnt want to pay you just had to hang around for 45minutes, then we stopped at a wood factory!!! This is what I mean when i say they try to scam you into everything. We put our foot down here and told them we'd wait in the bus with a few others. That night we both decided to beat the jet lag, our routinee of sleeping 10.00AM- 3.00AM and 3.00pm till 7.00pm was not working well for us, so we went to sleep after taken sleeping tablets and didnt wake up till the morning - yey!!!!!
