Hong Kong is Yang to Delhi's Ying. Where we had become accustomed to dirt, noise and cow shit we now had disinfectant, shine and shopping mall after shopping mall. Hong Kong feels like it was built yesterday. Everything sparkles, with skyscrapers forming an impressive skyline, escalators taking you from one mall to another and restaurants and bars at every turn. This was the perfect antidote to India. We enjoyed our hot power shower, flat screen TV and crisp white duvet set. However it has its own identity and Kowloon we visited the numerous markets (jade, flower and bird) sampled dim sums and enjoyed a night out at the fabulous urban Happy Valley racecourse on Kong Hong Island.
