I hated the hotel so much as there was a lounge with 2 sofas in decorated old skol style and so I would never meet anyone and not feeling comfortable I checked out. When I had gone to the internet cafe I booked the HI hostel in Boston. I found my way there and checked in and then wandered down to Fenway Pasrk and got a ticket to the game tomorrow. Red Sox vs Baltimore. I had my first burrito which was not great and then walked abit and got a hot chocolate later on. I came back booked whale watching for the next day and the aquarium for the sunday. Then decided to fo to the Museum of Fine Arts. Some I liked, alot i didn't and it was like a maze there and being ... read more

I had set my alarm which refused to work so I woke at 7.50 which was when I was planning to be on the metro. Tahnkfully I had packed so through my last bits in the case, stripped the bed and ran. i ran though Union Station and managed to get there in time. The bus was packed so I sat next to a good looking guy (it was that or the toilet). Unfortunately I still had my PJ bottoms on (under my trackies but was still a surprise when I went to the toilet to find I was still wearing them), morning breath,no make up, black eyes and a mass of hair so hardly looked at the guy as I felt as bad as I looked at this point.I had a ginger biscuit to help ... read more

There are not as many people always walking about as New York and the traffic is definately not as bad. I got the metro which is opposite the hostel about 9 and then upto metro centre. I walked a couple of blocks in the rain to the White House. It was amazing to see. Lafette Park was infront so had a quick walk round, it was tiny there were mainly 5 statues of heros. I then wandered down to the Capitol Monument. It was great to see but basically a tower. Got very confused with where the National Mall was and still don't understand where it went. I walked to the World War II memorial which was amazing. There were lots of war veterans there and it was stunning to go to. Behing it was constitution ... read more

It was only trains i discovered which wen tfrom there so after asking a staff member another guy helped me out and phoned the company and walked me to the stop. I got the bus which was a great trip as there weren't many people and very comfortable seats. I got to Union Station wasited inline and was in the wrong queue and after a short while I found the metro. A very slow start to the morning but met Alex and walked through Central Park, we sat by the lake for a while and walked through a part neither of us had been. We headed back early and stayed until Alex left. Then I met Eugenio and his Argentinian friend Maria and we chatted for a while and then we went to sleep and get ready for happy hour as it was my last night. Whilst in my room I started talking to an Aussie girl called Michelle Day. We chatted a while and got a slice for dinner and then met the others for drinks. We walked to the bar but it was full so walked up to the next bar played pool-of course Michelle and I lost,we nearly won the second game but we ... read more

I spent the day with Alex, we started of at Grand Zero which is the site of the World Trade Centre. We saw a sign for the memorial so we tried to find it but after following my directions we got lost and ended up in a gorgeous plaza by the Hudson River. We walked to the Brooklyn Bridge and over and found a nice park to sit in. A kid and his dad were practising his throwing for baseball adn even when he was throwing badly his dad would say it was good. it was really sweet to watch. We got the metro back and we followed Alex's directions as he didn't trust mine and the station was the longest most complicated one I've ever walked through. We eventually found the right train and got ... read more

After a slow start I wondered through Central Park and saw a local baseball game, which was good to watch but baseball is not the most interesting game ever its very slow. After getting lost in Central Park I finally found the way out and wondered down to the Guggenhiem Museum but the queue was pretty big so didn't go in but I will do at some point before I leave. I had a craving for a hot dog so got 2 hot dogs on the street which were amazing although I felt a bit ill after eating them. I wondered down fifth Avenue and then onto Madison Avenue and found Christian Laboutin,Caroline herrera and several other top designers. It was very cold so I tried to find a cafe but that proved hard but I eventually ... read more
