A Portuguese Boat After getting stranded in the middle of the sea and rescused by a fishing boat I hoped I would have more luck when I finally reached Malaysia.
Today I am in the capital city Kuala Lumpur with a view of the Patronas Towers in the middle of two rotten old buidings from my corridoor window.
Went to the Indonesian Embassy yesturday to get my 60 day visa and had a wonderful time. Had to cover my legs feet and shoulders so not to offend any of the Muslims so dressed in trousers, shoes and a T-shirt. I found out the embassy was situated on Tun Razak road so had a look at the map and decided the best way obviously was to get to the Tun Razak station and have a walk along the road. It was the biggest road on the map of Kuala Lumpur yet no one had heard of it when I asked them after getting off the train. which seemed unusual. Little did I know that the map I had a hold off was not to scale and the Embassy was situated 5 miles away at he other end of the road.

Melaka
My first picture with my new camera good 30 minutes of fafing about I haled a taxi and after a 20 minutes ride I arrived at my destination in the blistering heat dressed as if it was a cool spring day to find hundreds of gathers at the gate, I walked in a saw another 300 people mainly Indonesians and Malaysians. This was the beginning of my epic struggle that lasted most of the day.
Filled out my application form and cued up, realised I didn't have a photocopy of my passport so I had to join another cue outside. Even though this cue was only 5 meters long it took me nearly three hours to get to the front. It was the most disorderly cue I have ever been in, people were literally battling at the front of the cue pushing and shoving each other to get a photo copy of their passport, so after 2 hours when I finally arrived near the front it was my turn. I had no water all day and already had half my body's supply of liquid sweated out of me by the sun, but there was no way I was giving up now I had come so far,

Chinese Temple which is a lie really cause I had only managed to move about three meters.
By this time I smelt like a hobo so I used it to my advantage by sticking my armpits in their faces, which was pretty easy because most of them were only as tall as my chest. After an hour of being as close to a dozen fellas as I ever want to be again I battled to the front and got a print out.
There was a little smile on my face as I collected the photocopy and emerged out of the mob nearly falling over onto some old lady.
To the next cue!!
I had everything I needed and cued inside with a bit of airconditioning for another hour. Just as I got to the front of the cue, up came a sign that said closed for lunch, back at 2pm. No way!!
So over an hour passed and finally I managed to hand in my application.
On many other ocassions I have travelled hundreds of kilometres in the space of 5 hours but today I had only moved ten meters at a speed of 2 metres an hour, which offically makes me the slowest man alive!!!
It wasn't over yet though, I handed the money over and was told to wait three days and to bring a photocopy of my ticket to Indonesia. I told her that I haven't got my ticket yet cause I don't know when I will go, she just nodded and said 'ticket'. I repeated myself and she repeated herself. 'ticket', she said. 'Yes' I said, 'but how can I give you a photocopy of a ticket when I don't have it and don't know when I'm going.' She just smiled, nodded and said 'ticket'.
I realised I was getting nowhere and by this time it was nearly 3pm and I set off just after 8am. I smelt like a tramp, my back hurt, I had a stonking headache and I wasn't getting anywhere, it was my fault I didn't speak Malaysian or Indonesian so I also nodded smiled and said 'ticket' and then went to get a drink something to eat and watch my first and definately last Swedish movie at the local cinema. I just felt sorry for whoever sat next to B.O. Boy Smelly Pants Panchenko.
Till next time!
