It was maybe 45 degrees and Jordan and I were suffering from a flight hang-over and Jetleg. We decide to get out of the sity asap and head west to a national park. We jumped in a share cab and took a two hour jorney for Kanchanaburi. There we stayed on a floating house. It wasn't quite a boat, just accomidation on hte water. There were elephants roaming the grounds and the sounds of the jugle were surrounding us at all times. The first day We took an amazing train ride through the mountains an allong the largest river in South East Asia. We sat on the steps that lead onto the train and my feet dangled over the water 50 meters below us. They took us to a wee public swimming water fall. The kids were everywhere. Spicy and curry like....which is my favorite foods.
The next day we awoke to the elephants roaming down by the water. They
Thai Lunch
Eating some Thai Veggies on the Boat house we stayed on in the Jungle all looked to peacful and free. We all got to choose an elephant to ride down to the water and bath. Mine was old and she took her dear sweet time getting to the water, but I enjoyed the ride. After that we Took a bamboo raft down the river. Jordan and I we jumping off and swimming like little children in a play ground, giggling the whole time. At the end of the excersion, we hiked up the old rail road that was built in the 2nd World war. It was beautiful, but you could feel the death all around. When we got back to camp, we went on a wee ride on the elephants through the jungle.
