Pool at Ben's place
So good to be in a cool pool Arrived at Ben's place in Krabi around luchtime, the first hotel that had a pool, really needed a dip! We grabbed our hotel key to find we were in the basement which meant going down many flights of stairs as there were no lifts! I hate not having anyone to carry ny bags, I am only little I wasnt build for all this lifting. Lauren chucked hers down the stairs instead of carrying hers I sweated it out. Our room was really nice fully air conditioned which is a must out here!
Got my bikini on and headed to the pool. The pool was in the middle of two buliding which was weird.
After a quick dip I got changed and headed out to the market with Brittany, we had such fun haggling with the locals, we got some stuff at ridiculous prices, at the end of it we started to feel like we were ripping them off! This was such a funny afternoon I havent laughed so much in ages, Brit is such a cool girl! we headed back to the hotel to meet everyone for dinner.
Krabi it's self is quite touristy and even though your
a tourist you tend to want to stay clear of them. I prefer hanging with the locals tasting street food, learning how to be a traveller is great! tourists suck!
I had a red thai curry for dinner, I asked for it hot but had to send it back to the kitchen for more chilli. The staff were suprised at my taste buds, Love my chilli! hot hot hot! it ended up being the best curry I have tasted so far! After dinner Jo told us to head to the Chang bar the only bar in Krabi that ladyboys and prostitutes were not permitted. They still sat round the edges of the bar waiting for custom, they are ug! nothing prepares you for such a site, all the married fat men rubbing themselves on them, they looked like they had every disease under the sun, dirty dirty men they should be ashamed!!! anyway enough about the lady boys I am well over it now!
The chang bar was wicked, we discovered chang beer, umm so good and so cheap ! had some mojoitos! I have high standards when it comes to my mojoito and it was good! after
Me and Jo
Wicked tour guide a few more and some good music me and Brit thought we would brave the toilet, ow my god this is something I am still trying to get use to, just dont splash with your feet and dont breath through your noise!
After the Chang bar we hit two more bars before strolling home. Daniel and Shona jumped on a Krabi taxi, simular to the Tuk Tuk's in Bangkok. Brit and I decided to walk. That was until we got to the end of the road, we tried to haggle but then realised that we were arguing over 50p. The next driver we saw we hopped in and went back to the hotel. After some pillow talk reminiscing on the funny days events we all hit the sack as we had beach hopping to do the next day, on a hangover!
Headed to the beach to catch our longtail boat, we were visiting four islands. We got soaked on the boat, we all had to make sure the boat was even both sides other wise it felt like it was going to flip over! It was beautiful heading to the first island Poda Island, this is what you
Chang bar
Brit and me, its chang time! come to Thailand to come to see.
We hopped off the boat and found a lovely spot on the beach surrounded by fallen cocouts! We went into the see surrounded by pretty fish, the locals were feeding them bread and they were going mad for it. I wanted a bit of the action so I went in and the fish surrounded me. I was thinking how pretty it was until the fish started to bloody bite me! no one else got bitten, I was bit on my leg and arm, Brittany and Lauran found it very amusing! why does everything want to bit me out here, even bloody Thai fish! I mean who gets bloody bitten by beautiful little fish anyway.
After enjoying the island for an hour or so we headed back on the boat to visit the next island. During our trip the boat stopped so we could all go snorkeling. Shona jumped in and five minutes later needed a life jacket thrown at her to stop her from sinking. Brit and I decided to put life jackets on and just float in the sea, we were starting to feel a little sea sick! our life
jackets had straps that went through our legs and as we jumped in lets just say we got a surprise!
After about 10 minutes we tried swimmimg around the otherside of the boat until the owner of the boat shouted shark! that was the worst thing anyone could of done to me, I pushed Brit out the way and jumped so high both feet landed on the ladder at once, I was shitting myself. After all that it was a joke but he looked pretty serious to me. I dont think Brit has fully forgiven me for abdoning her in the ocean, sorry hun but is all about survival! After feeling pretty sea sick the boat finally stated moving again, we visited an island called chicken island you will see from my photo why it has this name, we didnt stop but it was pretty to look at. The next island we visited was Tup Island which is where we had lunch, this has the sand bank which connect three islands together which is rarely seen in Thailand. It looked so bizzar seeing a line of people walking through the ocean going from one island to another.
Again a lovely sight to see, cant really comment on our lunch but I have got use to skipping some meals here, why havent I lost any weight god dame it!
The last stop was the Phranang cave island you can do some good exploring through caves here but I just grabbed a corneto and sat in the sea eating it instead.
It was a great day out, would love to go back. After heading back to the hotel we all got changed and went for dinner, looked at the markets for a bit and then headed back, tiering day.
Had a beach day today, so nice just chilling, Brit, Daniel and I went to get pampered in the afternoon. I had a full hour of foot relexology which was good, my feet have been like balloons since I got here! Brit got her nails painted and Daniel got a shoulder, neck and head massage, once again heaven. Whilst we were enjoying our pampering a couple sat next to us. Whilst his wife was enjoying her massage the man was rolling around the bed in agony, I was paniced he seemed like he was in so much
pain, he was gonna cry he was in so much pain and he was a big man. The Thai ladies were trying to convince his wife to take him to the hosptial but she just wanted to carry on with her massage, he then ran to the back of the massage tent and vomitted she finally admitted defeat and took him to see a doctor, what a bitch poor guy. Apart from that it was a good experience!
We headed back to get ready to go out for our last dinner in Krabi, we all fancied a pizza, it was good pizza. Posh pizza thin and crispy!
We wanted to say our goodbyes to the Chang bar so we went there and ordered in some mojitios buckets, it was good!
Really enjoyed Krabi, island hopping was the best, had a 12hr public bus ride to face the next day goodbye Thailand hello Malaysia!
