Stunning view of Koh Tao from our boat
We got up early and got ready to meet our bus transfer which would pick us up from the nearby school and take us to the ferry pier. We weren’t waiting long till it came and it took around 45 minutes to get there. As we waited for the ferry to arrive we bought some make do breakfast and some snacks for the day ahead. Soon enough the ferry arrived, we got on and were given goggles for snorkeling later on. It didn’t take very long to get to Koh Tao but as we approached we could see how amazing this place was. The water was a beautiful blue and you could easily see to the bottom as well as plenty of fish swimming around. We dropped some people off at the Koh Tao pier then made for our first snorkeling area. We had a choice, either go to the beach and hang around there or go snorkeling around the island. For us it was definitely snorkeling, the crew called one of the long tail boats to pick us up and take us to the snorkeling site. One by one we jumped in the amazing water and swam around staring at

all the beautiful fish.

We were snorkeling there for a good hour and a half before they called us back onto the long tail boat and we headed back to the ferry. Lunch was being served and we were starving, we filled our plates from the buffet and sat eating lunch as the other half of the group returned from the beach. After lunch we continued on around the tiny island of Koh Tao to our next snorkeling site which was at a place called Mango Bay. Again this place was incredible, the entire island was just beautiful, the boat anchored as some of the crew began jumping of the top tier of the boat into the water, it was a huge jump. We decided on the smaller jump to the side of the boat, we went in and spent some time snorkeling around the amazing coral and fish. I got as many photos I could with my underwater camera then headed back to the boat. They were handing out muffins and iced-tea while we waited for everyone to get back on the boat. I took some great photos of the island, water and even the fish swimming around

We headed back to Koh Tao pier as they dropped us off after an awesome day, but it was still only the middle of the afternoon, now we needed some accommodation. We booked a place a while ago when we were planning the trip but changed our minds to a place that my friends were recommending. We walked to Ban’s Diving Resort which was quite a walk in the scorching heat, climbing up and down hills trying to find this place. But we finally saw it and went to ask for a room. We sat down with one guy who was trying his hardest to sell us the open water diving course but as we only had one day here it was impossible for us to do, instead we booked the discovery scuba diving course for people who have never done it before. That along with a nice room cost quite a bit but it was well worth it. We headed up to our room, put the air-conditioning on and collapsed on the bed. We had a rest in our air-conditioned room then got changed and went to find the pool for a swim.

We got

An amazing location for you're home, complete with beach and pier
to the pool and it was packed, there were so many people hanging by the pool, we had a swim then returned to our room to get ready to find some food. We went to the resort bar which was really busy and sat having a few drinks, playing cards while watching the sun go down over the sea, it was a beautiful sunset. Afterwards we headed down the road and found a small Mexican place and ate dinner there. It was ok, nothing amazing, but we were so hungry as long as it didn’t make us sick we were happy. When we finished dinner, lots of people began coming in and sitting around the television, they started showing ‘Juno’ so we sat and watched the movie. It seemed like the thing to do here at night, have a few drinks and sit and watch movies. As the next movie started we decided to head off as we were getting really tired, we went back to the room and went to sleep.
