Bangkok to Ko Phi Phi (Dec 2007)

After saying our hungover goodbyes to Si we took an overnight bus ride and ferry from Bangkok to Kho Phi Phi. There's four of us travelling by now - me, Lou, Omri and Kenny, a Swedish guy we met in Bangkok.

The journey was pretty uneventful (although very long!) until we reached the ferry port and Omri realised that his bag had been opened and I found Lou's credit cards in my backpack. This seemed a bit strange as they were in her rucksack which was next to her on the bus all night and my backpack was in the luggage compartment under the bus. Anyway we naively assumed that she'd put them in the wrong place. We knew Omri's bag had been tampered with but we couldn't believe that Lou's cards had been stolen from her bag while she slept and then put in mine. We should have believed it though because this is what had happened - the bus drivers had stolen the cards from her bag, copied the details and then put them in my bag. We found out what had happened when her cards were rejected in Kho Phi Phi. What lovely people!

So bad things are supposed to happen in threes or something like that. So far we've had a camera and cards stolen so hopefully there's only one more to go.....
