A place sure not to be missed when visit to North Thailand.... Mae Hong Son is accesable by bus (7-8 hours) or by flight (35-40 minutes) from Chiang Mai. We visit on the 16th Mar and return on 18th Mar 2008.... Read Full Entry

Located on Khun Lum Pra Pat Road in Mae Hong Son city. Originally named after Charm Ka Lea, a Thai Yai (Shan) who gathered his people to settle doen in a village called Baan Khun Yuam, in 1874, when this village had grown into a city, its name was changed to Mae Hong Son.

Prajao Indra Wichaya Nontha, the prince of Chiang Mai was elevated to Cham Ka Lea to Praya Singha Natha Raja. He then became the first lord of Mae Hong Son at the spot where nowadays the monument stands.

Located opposie Phra Non Temple, it is an ancient temple that is one of the symbols of Mae Hong Son. Built in 1890, the temple has the architecturaln sytle that is not inferior to other temple especially, the pathway covered with the roof from the entrance to the church.
