Hey guys,

Been busy the last couple of days...Went into Bangkok on Monday and booked our bus to Chiang Mai. Had a tour around the temples and rather expensive jewelery store, by our man Joy on his comical tuk tuk! We were told the tour would last about an hour and would cost us 4baht (8p) The tour took around 3 and a half hours!! Was quite funny though, and we got to see a bit of Bangkok! After all the excitement on the tuk tuk, we got back to our hostel and went for a beverage! We met a nice guy from New Zealand, had chats about the usual...politics, football etc!
The next day, we decided to go to the BIGGEST sea life centre in South East Asia! ( Geoff's choice 😊 ) Was really good actually! Had a ride on the glass bottom boat, so we could get up close and personal with the sharks and stingrays. Met a very docile python, and just admired all the weird and wonderful sea life etc. We then got a taxi (in Bangkok rush hour-complete nightmare,) to catch our bus to Chiang Mai. We left at 6pm and arrived this morning about 7.30am... it wasn't a bad trip, except one of our stops was over run with flying ants! Not just normal flying ants, flying ants that looked like big ugly moths...and not just a few, HUNDREDS, maybe THOUSANDS!! I was very brave, i thought! Geoff just laughed at me 😊

Well, we're sitting in our hostel, deciding what to do next...think we may go on a 3 day trekking tour tomorrow. It includes riding elephants, water rafting, meeting local villages, lots of walking etc!!

Hope you are all well, lots of love

Sophie and Geoff xxx
