from bangkok to chiang mai

Our last couple of nights in bangkok were fun!! We randomly bumped into Ste Rubin and his friend again and we went out in Bangkok!! We were celebrating our bags arriving at 10.30pm (30 hours after we arrived so not too bad!) After a few drinks in a petrol station that turns into a bar at night, we headed to a ping pong show on a tuk tuk!! This was our 1st tuk tuk ride of the trip and it was the scariest! the roads weren't that busy so he decided to race the other tuk tuk with the boys in at about 100mph!! well maybe not that fast but because its open it feels like it!! anyway, the ping pong show was an experience.......I won't go into detail tho!! Will leave it to your imgination!!

Anyway, we arrived in Chiang Mai today at lunchtime, after a 14hr train journey just sitting on a seat (there were no sleepers left!). There was aircon tho but this froze us all to death! had 2 layers on and was still cold!

We got to our hotel we had booked in Bangkok and decided to go sightseeing!! after eating a gorgeous thai chicken and rice soup (with a shed load of ginger in - dad, you would love it, mum...........not so much!!) we visited some ancient temples!! they are really pretty with a lot of gold buddhas in!!

We are going on a 2night/3day trek 2moz which we are all really looking forward to!!

I'll make another entry telling you all everything when I get back!!
